Q: Are we able to import Node.

js libraries to utilize as helpers in the decision logic within DecisionRules? For example I want to install and require tulind ("npm install tulind") which contains functionality to run technical analysis on stocks and crypto. Using this functionality, I can then plugin into DeciaionRules to make my decisions. Thanks.

A: Hello DigitalVader,

Thank you for your interest in DecisionRules.

Currently, DecisionRules does not allow you to import external libraries into the rule engine. This feature will come in Q3 2022, when you will be able to use the external libraries, for example, NumPy, Pandas, Keras,.. from Python.
For now, you can do the operations over the data before/after the decisions have been made, but this has to be handled on your side.

Regards,
Erik

Hello Erik,

Thanks for your response. So, in order for me to make up my decision to purchase, can you verify that this feature to add NPM libraries into the DecisionRules SaaS will be available as part of this Appsumo deal?

Thank you,
Joseph

Hi there! Will those that purchase this deal be able to use external libraries when the feature becomes available?

Hello,

This is too early to answer. As I mentioned Python will be available in Q3 2022.

Thank you for understanding.

Erik

Hello, its been a while. Do you have any updates to DecisionRules such as the ability to use external libraries? Also, can you answer the question for if you will allow Appsumo users to use the external libraries? Thanks.

Hello DigitalVender,

We are currently working on other features (decision trees, reporting API,..). In Q3 we will work on the external API calls where also the possibility to use the libraries will be included. Can you share a case where this feature is needed on your side?

We can discuss your case and try to find an option for how we can do it without the external API calls (usually it is possible).

Did you manage to create a couple of rules and found out that it is really needed?

Thank you.

Regards,
Erik
