onedayagainQ: Can i create a unique ID for every form submission
Hi,
Say i am making form for a school and as and when the form is submitted by students, unique id should be generated with each form, kind of like auto-incrementing number. Is it possible with deftform? For instance, popular form builder Jotform has this concept of unique id. I have noticed that most form builders that came to appsumo dont have even this simple concept. I hope deft form has this.
Note: The Unique ID widget lets you attach an alphanumeric code to every form submission you receive. With a unique identifier for every booking, purchase, or order, it’s easier to organize submissions and quickly access them in your records.

Jun 7, 2025A: Hi there, we don't support that yet, but something similar has been requested before. Well, we do create unique IDs on our side, but you cannot add custom codes, or auto-incrementing numbers to it. But we'd like to offer this.
Can you please send an email to support@deftform.com and provide a more detailed example of what you need? I guess it shouldn't be too complicated to add to Deftform.

The only thing missing for me is that the Unique ID isn't transferred to Google Sheets.
This would be very useful for identifying the case.
