We currently don't offer a custom modal option, but it's on our (long) todo list. If you want to use our form in an overlay with a third-party solution, you can use our regular embed script (https://help.deftform.com/faq/how-to-embed-a-form-into-my-website) in combination with data-form-init="0" and then trigger the form loading when the overlay opened (via window.initDeftform()).

But again, we do plan to offer a first-party solution for this as you are not the first to ask this.
