Deskera - An ALL-in-ONE Business Suite
I checked this one out because I'm interested in seeing how Deskera's accounting functions compare to all the other big cloud accounting names out there (Quickbooks, Sage, Xero, etc.). Since my main reason for buying this deal is the accounting aspect of it, my review will be more focused on accounting (Deskera Books).
FIRST IMPRESSION
It's fairly easy to set up your business in Deskera. However, since there are three functions in Deskera, you do have to set up the specific things in each function separately. I so far only tried Books and Sales since Payroll is not available for Canada at the moment yet. The loading speed for each app is super fast.
PROS:
- Very easy to use with clean UI
- Fast loading speed for all apps
- Impressive Dashboard for each app to give you an overview of your business
- If you are in the niche of eCommerce, you do want to check this out
- One button import your accounting data from Quickbooks and Xero
- You can add at many non-power users as you want for FREE
- You can send out batch emails to your paying clients from Deskera CRM and have everything in one place.
ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT:
- Do wish Deskera offers the option to turn off certain modules in Books, such as "Pick Pack Ship", "Warehouse", for non-eCommerce users.
- Not all reports have the option to export as excel, which can be problematic for year-end tax filing with accountants.
- As a Canadian user, please do have Canadian payrolls, Canadian bank auto-sync ready for use ASAP.
- More integrations will be great, for me, Square integration is much-needed.
- Would be great to have "Quick Add" fields and button on the "Chart of Accounts" page.
Deskera is a well-funded company and this is definitely not your normal beta products. If you are looking for a cloud accounting system on a lifetime deal, do check this one out. Canadian users do have to wait for few month for them to push out the Canadian compliance and payroll function, but this will be well worth it's price tag then.
