Q: Some basics
Hi!
1. I just really wanted to know what you DO that Yoast does and what you DON'T do that Yoast does? E.g., social share title and text, meta, pillar content analysis, etc.
2. Are you planning on supporting all types of Schema? E.g., as per WP Schema Pro.
3. Will this plugin conflict with Yoast if you have it installed?

Dec 2, 2024A: Hello!
Thank you for your great question!
There are several areas where the DiagnoSEO Pro plugin outperforms Yoast. Here are just a few examples (beyond basic SEO features like meta tag management):
Performance: Our plugin is exceptionally lightweight. For a detailed comparison, check this resource: https://wphive.com/compare/plugins/diagnoseo/vs/wordpress-seo/. DiagnoSEO uses only 61.17KB of memory (the lowest among all WordPress SEO plugins), while Yoast consumes over 1MB. Lower memory usage means better WordPress performance, improved Core Web Vitals scores, and potentially higher search rankings.
AI-Powered Comments Generator: Generate initial comments for your blog posts directly within the WordPress editor, saving time and encouraging user interaction.
Affiliate Deeplink Hider: This feature allows you to hide affiliate links from bots by replacing traditional <a> tags with <span> tags. For example, on this page: https://diagnoseo.com/appsumo/, the link text "Visit the AppSumo Page" uses this approach. Compared to adding a nofollow attribute, this method offers better control over link equity distribution.
reviewedBy Schema Support (for E-A-T compliance): Mark articles as human-reviewed, a crucial addition as AI-generated content becomes more prevalent. This schema can help establish authority and trustworthiness.
SEO Category Widget for Nested Categories: Ideal for blogs with complex category structures. This widget improves both user experience and SEO. It's also compatible with WooCommerce.
Customizable XML Sitemap Names: Change the sitemap file name for better data protection.
Pricing: The DiagnoSEO license is more affordable than Yoast, even for Tier 1. Moreover, even Tier 1 offers lifetime plugin updates, unlike Yoast, which requires annual payments.

For a full feature comparison with Yoast, check this page: https://diagnoseo.com/yoast-alternative/. Key advantages over Yoast include:
-Anchor text control on post lists.
-Option to set all external links to nofollow (works on Multisite too).
-Breadcrumbs with WAI-ARIA support.
-Complete integration with the most SEO friendly them (Multi theme https://meetmulti.com/blog/seo-features/). E.g. thanks to this integration you can hide social media links to avoid link juice leaks, as implemented on https://diagnoseo.com/ (social media links in the footer).
-Post ratings with stars and schema support (e.g. https://diagnoseo.com/blog/boost-wordpress-seo).
We constantly monitor SEO trends, so new important features will be added to DiagnoSEO as needed.

3. Migration from Yoast:

Hope this helps!
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Kind regards,
Adam
