Q: What Is the Current Status of Directorist AI?

I’m trying to understand the current status of Directorist AI and how far along it is as a product. From the page, it looks like it may still be in development, but I’d like a clear answer on whether it is already available for use, in a limited release, or still marked as coming soon.

Could you also clarify what users can expect from it at this stage, and whether the features shown on the page are fully live or part of the upcoming rollout?

A: Hi,

Thank you for your question. We completely understand the confusion, so I'd like to clarify where Directorist AI currently stands.

Directorist AI is a much bigger vision than a single feature. Our original goal was to build an AI assistant that could help users create, customize, and manage their entire directory website through a conversational interface essentially allowing users to build pages, configure settings, and perform tasks simply by chatting with AI.

As development progressed, we identified several technical challenges, particularly around compatibility with different page builders. Rather than releasing an experience that worked only for some users, we decided to first build a stronger foundation by expanding support for the three major page builders. We're now in the final stages of that work.

While that foundation is being completed, we haven't paused AI development. Instead, we've been introducing AI-powered features that can deliver immediate value. One example is our recently released AI Search extension, which is already available and demonstrates the direction we're taking with AI inside Directorist.

So, to answer your question directly:

The full Directorist AI experience is not yet publicly available. Some AI-powered features are already live, such as AI Search, AI setup wizard. The broader conversational AI experience shown on the page is part of our upcoming roadmap and will be introduced in phases as the underlying builder support is completed.

Our goal is to deliver a solution that is reliable, practical, and works consistently across different site setups, rather than rushing out a limited implementation.
