I can't wait to use this for my future remote meetings! This will save me so much time with the built in agenda and action items. Also, there are also so many meeting templates to choose from, I just love it. I wish you guy success!
Been using Dive several weeks now. While takes a bit of learning curve to know how to using this properly, and been see the fixes to some bugs i've reported like 2 way sync with Google Meet and their internal meeting tools.
But, the single column list is not really good (in my opinion, since we need to plan whole month internal meeting agenda) hope there will be an option for this.
The overall usability and performance is Great. I do recommend this tools for you.
I very much enjoy the app. That is why it pains me to offer a 3 Taco Review. There is lot of room for improvements.
Pros: The meeting notes and templates are amazing. Has built in markdown which is good to see. Easy to use and share with the team.
The team rooms are great and it's easy to share notes with everyone on the team.
They added audio/video calls with Dive which is great to see. It looks great and is easy to join a call.
Cons:
Mark Down Editor: - It's very hard to figure out what the markdown commands are to get bold, underline, Headers (H1, H2, etc) - There isn't a clear way to add tasks or pull up any menu. (Bold, Font, Add Task, Bullets, etc) (Refer to Taskade for inspiration)
Joining a Meeting: - "Join with Audio/Camera" and "Join without Audio/Camera" and then press "Join" button to start audio/camera seems confusing. - I didn't see anything that let's people know a meeting is started when they are currently logged into the platform. I would have a notification system using the browser or something like that.
Record Button: - Dive assumes the types of recording you might be doing is just of the screen capture - It saves the recording instead of posting to meeting notes.
Improvements: (Dives Meetings)
Joining a meeting: - A sound effect should be played to all users when a user joins a meeting or leaves a meeting. - Join with audio / camera or Join without buttons don't make sense. Please just make it join button instead. - When we join a meeting without audio / camera we should be able to just toggle on audio / camera...not a second join button? That is confusing.
Voice: - There is no indication someone is talking. It should pulse around the user who is currently speaking and move the speaker to the center of the screen or highlight then in a different color (Refer to MS Teams for inspiration)
Screen Capture: - When recording the screen capture can be disabled which will just show the Dive window with meeting notes / user's talking. - When you press screen capture it will start showing the users the screen capture. - If you are recording and press screen capture it should change the window to the screen capture.
Record Button: - Record button should automatically record the full Dive window, meeting notes, and users talking. - Recording should not start a screen capture and stop recording should not stop a screen capture. - When recording you can press the screen capture button to change the focus from the Dive window to anything else. - Should change the record icon to a stop icon once the recording starts. - Should show prompt of automatic consent when you press the record button for all users. - You should have the ability to download a recording from the meeting notes section. - All recordings should be published to the meeting notes when you press stop. (Refer to MS Teams for inspiration) Remove the popup save dialog please.
I could go on with the feedback. Good start but it's clear they have work to-do still...

Hey there! Thank you so much for the thoughtful & detailed review. Really, really appreciate the time you put into this. Please see responses below!!
1. Markdown editor - There's a shortcut "/" that you can use to quickly toggle between formatting options. The rest of the formatting such as bold follow the same shortcuts as a normal editor "ctrl + b", italics "ctrl + i" and so on.
I'm user of Session Us and 3 Veta but honestly this is such a great tool. No need to run a meeting in Zoom or MS Team or if you want no problem....But Dive has its own video calling and it is really good. No issue! My only problem is how you view a calendar as it is fitted into 1 column. No calendar view like Google Calendar if you wish to see a whole week. But they said "working on it". For Tier 3 you get 100 members which is enough for most of us. They have a lot of apps integrated in Dive (natively or built in) which is such a great addition to it. I would highly recommend to get it while you can and I don't understand why it has only 2 reviews....It should get a way more :)
There have been quite a few products in this segment thus far and I resort to using Spoke until Dive came along. This appears to be one with the potential to merge many of the disparate products I use thus far. It has some great templates to get me started and the Ui/UX is much better than anything before it. The big question would be - can I get my colleagues to adopt it as well? As someone who is freelancing, I can see this happen without too much of a challenge, especially it is in the client's best interests to have it well documented. Definitely great for education too. No more of - sorry I thought you meant .....Moreover the add on tools such as timers, polls, feedback etc is actually a deal initself.
Overall, very pleased with the deal in total. I feel the member limits are generous and holistically appear very polished. @Dive team - I know you said you haven't realised a public roadmap but I strongly feel it would do you a world of good if you were to release one to at least this community for feedback. Trust me :)
