Q: Since you can you plugin WordPress, but replace the frontend with DivHunt (DH) - if so, what happens when you publish?

Do you continue to host on DH but pull your data from WordPress? Or can you export your site to the host where your WordPress site sits, so in essence, you're replacing your WordPress frontend with DH?
Or do you continue to host on DH and hoover up data from Wordpress? I just ask as because it's not clear to me, if you're using WordPress hooks/data, but host with DH, then you need two sites hosted. One for Wordpress to house your data and another for DH as your frontend.
I just ask as I have a lot of Wordpress site and it'd be great to keep them where they are but redo the frontend with DH and be able to keep them connect to DH for future updates.
Please advise. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

A: Hey,

You are able to use WP as a Headless CMS solution and build a website in Divhunt, and use REST API to connect data. Here's a course: https://divhunt.com/academy/rest-api/wordpress

I am not sure if this answered your question. But we do not have some magic click to convert websites from WP to DH :)

Hey @Stefan, no no, I don't want a magic click convert, headless is great, but what's not clear is where do DH pages sit when the data is coming from WP? Do you export them on DH and put them on the same server as your WP install?

Or do you have to have the database remain on a WordPress install somewhere, and the DH runs on its own platform/host and just hoovers up the data from WP?

Hey, you are hosting you WordPress somewhere, and then DH is just accessing that data via REST API. So you should be hosting your wordpress for example on wp.yourwebsite.com, and then on divhunt you would run yourwebsite.com

Okay, so to make use of the RestAPI with Wordpress as your data source, you need to run two hosting environments. x1 for the WP install and one on DivHunt. Gotcha. Thanks.
