Great website builder that can go far
I am a graphic designer and I have been building websites for clients for several years. I have been using Framer but I was looking for a website builder with a bit more freedom and options to it. After testing a few, Divhunt seemed like the best choice so I decided to invest in a couple lifetime deals on AppSumo.
What stood out from the start was the strong support for backend development while still being reasonably accessible for a non-developer like me. The features are impressive making it easy to connect and integrate third-party services.
The visual builder is based on clean CSS and HTML and all is accessible through an intuitive UI. Trusting that the source code would be well built was definitely a deal-breaker as most other builders out there tend to lock-in the code to their platform. Divhunt allows for full export, migration or deployment if needed. All necessary features are there for full stack web development as well. CMS, localization, forms, animations, SEO support, etc. This makes switching from Framer an easy choice.
That said, there is still a lot that needs polishing and the product is yet to fully mature. The plugin and template marketplace is quite thin showing limited adoption so far. The UI can be quirky and unclear sometimes. And the AI features could improve with chat history being the most noticeable missing element. There was also the occasional bug popping up from time to time, which felt a bit annoying. But the team is readily available for support and feedback on Discord which is positive.
I am still learning Divhunt but it was quite straightforward to start building something from scratch since the UI is quite similar to most other design and no-code platforms out there. Importing HTML was easy and allowed me to quickly set up a website I created somewhere else. Some of the more advanced features are implemented a bit differently though and will need some studying in the tutorials.
Overall I think this is a great website builder with a lot of potential for becoming a top contender in the market. I hope the team addresses the less polished areas soon but for now I am ready to adopt it as my go-to app for creating websites.
