Very Buggy! But great customer support
I know this product is its beginning stages but I used it for about two months. It caused a lot of issues for my sanity.
Docsify takes over the drafting functionality of gmail. Because it takes over drafts, I was frequently presented a slew of draft copies in my draft folder of emails that were already sent. This caused a lot of panic at first thinking that these emails were never sent out and my clients never received them. It turns out that they were just duplicates - MOUNDS of duplicates. I had to keep clearing my drafts folder just to make sure I could double check *every email I sent out* more effectively. They told me the reason they did this is because of the way they handle file uploads, but from my understanding, the files are uploaded to their servers and they only generate a link inside the draft that points to this file so I'm not sure why they have to completely hijack drafting. A hint they dropped is because they used html .. I think just to insert a pretty document link...??
I finally started using the send later feature and found out that the timer/calendar was really buggy as well. The interface kept resetting my inputs and I found Streak and Gmelius' far superior with "natural language" input - like tomorrow at 3 pm, rather than 5-10 clicks depending if the interface wanted to behave.
When you click send with the send later date sent, the whole gmail interface behaves as if nothing happened and you question whether it will actually send. Sometimes a date will show at the bottom of the email and sometimes it won't. The advice I was given was to go into Docsify's interface to see if it was queued. I would rather have it generate a draft, hide it from the inbox, and label it as send later in the draft folder view... So now I have to double check Docsify on two of it's features??
The part I was most unhappy about is that I drafted a long email in the AM to my client and drafted a few others and decided to use send later to send it early morning. I realized I needed to double check the spelling and edit/add more details to the emails. Docsify erases the drafts so you can't even edit them and puts them in a black box so you can't even read what's in them to double check their content. I asked them if I was SOL and they confirmed. The only option I had was to delete the send later email and redraft it.. reiterate - in the AM.
THAT BEING SAID
Their customer service is rather fantastic. They always responded quickly and with concern. They worked through all of the issues I reported and manually reproduced them to confirm the issues and put it on the list of things to do. Even with my constant emails, they handled things very professionally and when I sent them a similar email the detailed the information above as the reason I would have to stop using Docsify and continue using Gmelius, they were polite enough to acknowledge the issues and hoped that I'd return.
The sale is over but I thought I'd give my 2 cents.
