A: Definitely. Early days - We tried using AI before for creating and updating templates, but it had a lot of issues and made mistakes that just added confusion. Weโ€™ll consider giving it another shot with the newer AI models.

This sounds great. Allow AI usage with possibility for BYOK .. like create docx/xlsx templates from scratch using AI.

Maybe a place to connect your own model, e.g. OpenAI API?

Yeah, support for OpenAI compatible API - using Base URI would be cool! This would allow us to use OpenRouter/Ollama/LM Studio proxy ๐Ÿ”ฅ

For document creation, it would be more impactful if Documentero offers solid remote MCP servers to users. Then you can use any UI Framework Client with MCP and BYOK to generate documents via Workflow (agents) or Chat interface (prompt and context).

if you do add AI again I would want a toggle to switch off, personally I dont want to share my business or client data with AI and would prefer privacy over AI that reads all my data.

@Sandyltd You could opt for your own local instance via Base URI. Nowadays, you can download LLMs locally. No need to opt for analytics/telemetry at all โœŒ
