Q: Image Hyperlink

Could you advise on how to define a custom URL for an image hyperlink, enabling the image to open its file in Chrome upon being clicked, when utilizing the Documentero API or Form?

Aug 23, 2025A: Hi. If you need static linked image you can just embed it into template (.docx) it will work just fine in output document. If you want to inject image / link dynamically we don't have such a feature to link image itself. Still you can pass dynamic image and dynamic link under/above it (using image and link field).

Are there any alternative solutions or workarounds currently available to achieve this functionality (maybe using HTML field)? Additionally, is there any indication that this feature might be incorporated into future plans? If so, is there any ETA?
