I have used or demo'd almost every legal-focused document automation tool (Knackly, Lawyaw, Gavel, etc.), and Documentero beats them all at a better price. The merge fields are super simple, creating and uploading templates is a breeze, and they make it really easy to manage your template library as well. No fussing with plugins or complex platforms, you just use their super simple syntax in your own .docx files (or manage files on their platform) and upload. The conditional logic is THE BEST I have seen. The javascript-style conditional logic syntax is super simple to understand but incredibly flexible. It is better than any other tool I have seen. The Zapier connection is also excellent and so easy to set up and use.

The only downside to Documentero is that while it can output .docx files as PDFs, it can't fill PDFs, such as government PDFs (lawyers have to do this frequently). I would recommend a tool like PDF.co to pair with Documentero for PDF form filling via Zapier. Overall, Documentero is absolutely fantastic and a MUST BUY for all sumolings who need to generate word docs.
