Real Talk: My Experience with Documentero
I've been using Documentero for a while now, and I have to say, it's a pretty neat tool. It makes mass generation of PDFs from Word files (Docx) a breeze.
What's cool about this is that I can upload my Word document as a template and fill it with content on the fly. The documents may even have some logic to them. If that, then that. If this paragraph is present, then.... Want to fill in specific data? Just plug in your variables, and you're good to go. Do you want to add some numbers together, e.g. individual invoice items? No problem! You don't even have to pass the sum, Documentero can calculate.
I really think that anyone who needs to create numerous PDFs (whether contracts or invoices or whatever) and is at least a little bit computer-literate can benefit from this tool.
But let's talk about something that often gets overlooked: customer service. I ran into a couple of questions while trying to generate PDF invoices from a Google Sheet. Enter Jarek from Documentero's support team. Dude was practically available round the clock, answering my queries via email and chat within minutes. <3
What impressed me was not just his speedy response, but also the fact that he updated their official documentation based on my questions. That's proactive! It was nice to see a company taking steps to make sure the same questions don't pop up for another customer.
Compared to some AppSumo deals I've tried, where the product felt half-baked, Documentero stands out. It just... works.
I am and will gladly remain a customer, and I am even considering upgrading my plan. Just in case. If only I had more PDFs to deal with. It's been a solid tool for me, and the support has been top-notch. 100% recommend!
What could be improved: I would like to see more native integrations with external services like Make.com. Currently, Zapier.com is available, which I'm really not a big fan of. Good but expensive.
Make.com is at least as good, if not better, and offers more for less. There is no native integration of Documentero on Make.com yet. But Documentero offers a robust and well documented API. So, I was able to tap into Documentero from Make.com effortlessly and transfer my data from Google Tabs into Documentero PDFs.

I appreciate your review and helpful feedback that allow us to improve documentation & app in some areas ( like date format and timezone handling ).
I have good news regarding upcoming integrations:
Integration with Make.com App is live and pending approval by Make.com team (I will pass you a share link)
Integration with Pabbly Connect App is (just) officially approved
