Q: Hello!

How useful is the tool when it comes to testing behind private networks. since my clients have 3-4 (dev/qs/preprod/prod) test environments and only one is publicly accessible, how can i ensure that it can also be used internally?
In the comments it was mentioned that you can share an IP, which is a good solution, but the IP must remain the same because a more frequent change/unlocking of IPs is not desirable for many companies. Is there another possibility, such as hosting it yourself or running it over your own IP?
Is it possible to buy a Tier and, if necessary, change to a higher one at the price offered here (even if the deal has already expired by then)?
Thank you

A: Hello,

1. Private network.
We had a customer in the past with the same request. Our solution here is to spin up a separate server per VPN network so only the Scenarios, that should be executed in that network were executed on this Server. This ensures that DogQ has access to the target environment and that no other DogQ customer has access to your private network.

2. IP.
We do not plan to change our IP often and it may happen in the future due to the maintenance (to scale servers up, for example). But even then I think that it may happen once per year or so and we will be looking into options to do even even less frequently. The second option we usually suggest is to add DogQ to the allow-list based on the User-Agent(we include "DogQ Agent" string) but I'm not sure if this will help with VPNs.

3. Self-hosting.
We can provide DogQ as a Docker image so you can host it on your own. But both this and "1. Private network." options are not something we usually do and the pricing here should be discussed separately and will be quite above our usual pricing(https://dogq.io/pricing/).

4. Upgrade.
For sure there will be an option to upgrade to a higher tier\plan after the campaign ends. We haven't yet agreed on the exact prices, but I'm not sure if we will offer the same prices(or even a pricing model) as they are offered now and here. That is why it's a limited-time offer :) But we will provide some clarity on it in the coming weeks, we are getting such questions more and more often.

I hope that it answers your questions, please let me know if I can be of any other help.

Thanks,
Alex.
