It's clear that DogQ is still in rapid development, because some features are not yet fully fleshed out, while at the same time, things are steadily improving.

So far I have just used DogQ to test contact forms on my own websites. I would like to set this up for all of my client sites, but the scheduling leaves something to be desired.

For example, I tried setting my schedule to by every 84 hours (3.5 days), but it ran every day instead. Also, I can't yet set what time of day they run, which is important if I'm going to be flooding my clients with lots of test submissions. I either need to be available as it happens, or do it at a time that's outside of business hours.

That said, even being able to just run my scenarios manually from a central location is a huge time saver.

I also find I have to click more times than I would like to find my way back to my scenarios, and I sometimes find the interface confusing. For example, to edit or run my scenario, I have to click "Test Scenario" which doesn't make sense because that's not what I'm trying to do. And sometimes I get stuck in one view of my scenario when I'm trying to view the alternate, and there's no easy way to get between them.

But they've already implemented a quick way to look at failed runs and see exactly at what step things failed, which has been incredibly helpful.

At the end of the day, my concerns are relatively minor hiccups, and I'm sure that they will resolve these kinds of details as they grow.

For now, I'm happy to have got in early on such a great tool with a lot of potential, as I can see many more use cases for DogQ in my future. The basic testing capability has been solid for me thus far, and I'm looking forward to doing even more with it.
