MISLEADING advert
Monthly (100 monitors, 100 domains) in the offer, i've just been stopped adding by 16th domain.
I feel completely misled in to purchasing this and will be getting a refund straight away.
avoid this if you have more than 15 domains

Oct 28, 2024Hi, thanks for reaching out to us. The AppSumo deal has a limit as per our pricing page of 15 "domain availability monitors" and 15 "blacklist monitors". AppSumo doesn't allow us to highlight more than 10 features within the license section, so we list the plan name of the plan you're purchasing.

Hidden Restrictions Only Discovered After Purchase!!
I used to really like this tool until I discovered it limits users to only 5 status pages—seriously? You can monitor 100 domains but only get 5 status pages, and if you need more, you have to pay extra monthly! This completely defeats the purpose of a "lifetime deal" in this niche, especially when they fail to disclose such an important limitation upfront.
Thankfully, I didn’t move all my domains over yet. I’ll be requesting a refund, but this feels like poor practice from the provider. Nowhere does it clearly state that you're restricted to just 5 pages, especially considering you’re allowed to monitor 100 domains. I feel misled.
AppSumo, please take a closer look at the deals your partners bring to the platform. It needs to make sense or, at the very least, disclose everything. I wouldn’t have bought this if I had known about the 5-page limit!

Oct 9, 2024Hi Walters,
Thanks for your review. We take all reviews seriously and are always looking to improve our platform. AppSumo only grants us 10 feature points to list out our features, and we have many more than this.
One of our feature points says ""Monthly (100 monitors, 100 domains)".
The deal offered on AppSumo is for this tier.

Untransparent limits which you will find after purchase
We purchased a deal half a year ago and transferred our Client's websites to monitoring.
The soft uptime monitoring is working well. But while we were finishing the tests, transferring, and setting up 30 monitors for our Clients, we noticed that up to 100 monitors can send notifications only to 10 notification contacts (not even users).
It wasn't mentioned on Appsumo, LTD deal terms and conditions. We asked here and in support, but they can't propose any solution. Also, the deal isn't stackable.
I can't recommend this deal to any agency.

Jul 31, 2024Hi,
Thanks for your review. AppSumo only allows us to add up-to 10 features listed on the product page. Because of this, we've listed the Pro plan tier name: "Monthly (100 monitors, 100 domains)". This is the tier listed on our website's pricing page, which, upon sign-up you're also agreeing to the plan's features and functionality as per our own terms and conditions.

Tool works as described
Domain Monitor has proven to be an effective tool for keeping track of domain status. It does exactly what it claims, providing reliable monitoring and timely alerts. This reliability is crucial for maintaining the health of my domains and ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly.
However, there are a few areas where the product could use some improvement. The user interface (UI) is not as polished or intuitive as some of the other competing products on the market. It's functional but a bit clunky, and it could benefit from a more modern and user-friendly design.
One feature I find lacking is the ability to configure alerts to trigger only if the monitor is down for a defined period. This would help avoid unnecessary notifications for short-lived issues and allow for more precise control over alerting.
In summary, Domain Monitor is a solid product that performs its core functions well. The alerting is reliable, which is the most critical aspect. However, the user interface and lack of certain alert configurations are areas that need improvement. Despite these drawbacks, it's still a worthwhile investment, and I hope to see continued enhancements from the development team in future updates.
