Buyer Beware

OK, I know Some of you will be mad at this review, and that's OK. I'm allowed to express my opinion and wish someone else wrote a review like this before I purchased. It would've saved me a couple of hours time and I hope it does the same for the next person. Like one other reviewer, this deal is a little deceptive. So please read this BEFORE you purchase this deal.

About Draftium itself…
It’s actually quite easy to use and has an extensive library of elements to choose from. Even on my first go at it, I built a wireframe in like 40 min. With practice, I could easily get that number down to maybe 10 min. I tried searching a few different occupations to find templates, some came up and some didn’t. I hit about a 60% find rate. Please note that this tool is actually only part one of a two-part solution. Know that going forward.

Who Draftium is for…
This tool is great for people whose sole job is to only build wireframes. Draftium is absolutely PERFECT as that person is done once they build the wireframe and hand it off!

Who Draftium is NOT for…
Everyone else! I’m talking about people who build websites from start to finish… such as myself. From what I read in the comments on a lot of these AppSumo offers, most of us are seem to be this boat. Remember when I said this is only a part one of a two-part solution? The ideal scenario of this tool would be to create a wireframe and send it to the client for review and approval. Then when they approve it, you would simply continue with this tool to build the site so you can add content and then publish it. Well, you can… ONLY if you buy part 2 of their web solution; Weblium. For those who don’t buy Weblium, you have to go into your builder of choice (I use Divi, but there is also Elementor, VB, Beaver, Bookmark, Sitejet, etc…). All of these builders already come with pre-defined sections. So this begs the question... why build a prototype in Draftium, only to have to rebuild it again in your builder of choice?

We all know how clients are... you know that if you send them a Draftium built wireframe and they approve it, they are going to complain when you build the real thing in another builder because it doesn’t look exactly like the wireframe you sent them! Then, to make them happy, you will start getting into custom code and CSS in order to make it the website look the same as the wireframe they approved, which means you’re not saving time, you’re wasting it.

Bottom line…
If you want to purchase Draftium, be ready to purchase Weblium as well... unless your job is only to build wireframes.

You are totally right with your review.
We build websites on Wordpress with Templatemonster and still use Draftium.

1. We identify very quickly what the client is looking for in terms of layout, sections, website blocks.
It's been done with a sales manager with no technical knowledge and is much better way than to request the brief from the customer.

2. Once the draft is sketched. We quickly identify the gaps with content.

Ok - customer does not have hi-resolution logo, he has to provide three paragraphs of texts about himself, prepare and send us his awards and testimonials, etc.

This is the hardest and the most problematic part of web design business.

3. Customer approves draft with his partners, wife or any other stakeholders, usually they have 3-4 revisions. It takes only couple of minutes to make those changes on the fly with Draftium.

Now the Draftium stops at this moment.
--------------

Now I give the draft to a Wordpress developer and designer and ask to build the website.

Usually you get couple of revisions about the design, like please change this red to green, I don't like this picture let's have something else, etc.

And you are all set.

So you are right, Draftium is a website PROTOTYPING tool and was not invented to build final websites with it.

I feel sorry you missed this point from the very beginning as you can see in comments, some people did and some not, maybe it is our fault not to describe it properly.

I hope you've used our money-back guarantee and have nothing against the service after all.
