Something I didn't know I needed!
Warning: I am a novice at building websites. I love to use Wordpress and I do not know any coding. So my review may be coming from a different standpoint then those of coders and or people with more advanced workflows.
Stacked 2 codes! This is really an Awesome Baby that just needs a little time to grow into a Big Boy! lol. It's really cool and something I didn't even know I needed.
I think that a lot of people are missing the point on how this tool could really help save time, but I guess it just depends on one's individual workflow. Everyone is different tho.
My first thoughts were the same as some others saying... "Why pre-build a website in Draftium just to have to do it all over again with your builder? Then I thought, OMG, the whole prototype is in boring black and white. I just didn't get it. lol
BUT... as I continued to play with Draftium, I can TOTALLY see why the concept of the program is the way it is. It is Very Smart in my opinion.
I am wanting to build temporary Event websites and Landing pages for Event Organizers, Artists and Entrepreneurs to Showcase and sell tickets for their events, something more detailed than Eventbrite. Draftium is nice for me because I have found so far that getting info from people and trying to explain a layout to them without showing them an actual sample first is like pulling teeth. lol.
For me, because I am no Pro, I don't always want to go through setting up a whole site on a domain before I have even began to understand what the client is needing. Sure I have a pre-questionaire that I give them, but without them seeing some type of example, it is still a messy process and long game of tag. If i show them sample sites, They always think that the site will come out "exactly" as the template I showed them. This could be a good or bad thing. Many times, they spend too much time telling me right away what to change about the sample site, and I find myself saying over and over, "I am just showing you a Sample!"
With the black and white, Omg, lol at first I was thinking, these clients are going to be asking me dumb questions like... "Is this what the site going to look like? Where is the color, etc. But, as I thought more about it, actually this is a GREAT THING. The Black and White gives you a clean canvas that you can color. And that way the client is only focused on the info they need to be giving. One thing at a time. lol
To be able to choose and make up clean blank layouts to show to my clients a rough draft and collect into in this manner is great for me. Quickly made and ready to send right away. Easy Peasy!
The only thing I will that is DREADFULLY missing for me is the ability to collect content such as Images, video, etc. This still causes me to have confusion with the client by having them to use too many other tools or methods. And maybe just a color palette option for clients to give feedback on colors that they like. If Draftium adds this, they will be my BEST FRIENDS.

May 9, 2024Hi @PhotoChic,
Thanks a lot for such detailed description of your experience. Actually we’ve created Draftium to make web-professionals happy.
And than thank you for the feature request about the ability to collect the client’s content in one place. It is already on the road map.
