What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?

Previously I co-founded Harmonic AI, a sourcing and prospecting tool for VCs and sales teams. It is now used by top VCs like A16Z, YC, and Floodgate to amplify their investing efforts. My cofounder Andrew was previously head of engineering at a seed funded startup (Bonside) and ex-Netflix. Every startup and project we've have worked on has relied on email to communicate with users - and we've always wished there was a better way to setup flows without having to take away engineering time from building the core product.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

It started off with the insight that notifications could be driven from the database layer, not the app layer, eliminating the boilerplate every app needs to setup. Add AI to the mix and you unlock even more leverage. The result: with Dreamlit, your entire emails notification strategy across all types of notifications (from marketing, transactional, auth, scheduled) can be managed (from setup to delivery to analytics) all in one, unified, and easy to use platform.

What problem is your product solving and how?

Every other email notification service on the market requires an API integration with your app code. Meaning you need to setup a bunch of infrastructure and do a coding integration to setup all of your app's email flows, and then setup a separate data sync to another marketing automation platform for your marketing emails. Testing, analytics then require additional effort. Dreamlit is the only real-time, database integrated, AI notification service on the market. Databases are inherently contextual - and this is Dreamlit’s unlock. By sitting on top of the database, Dreamlit brings cutting-edge AI to your data.
