Very early Beta. Promising design, bad execution

I’ve now taken Dreamwriter for a ride and can see where you’re going with this. Overall, promising in UI/UX, but sadly lacking in terms of execution. I’ve summarized some comments below (in no particular order).

Sources: You need to state the source for any claim in some form of footnotes. It’s unacceptable and unprofessional that the AI comes up with a statement such as “70% of streaming services are profitable” without backing this up through a source and corresponding link, ideally in the footnote and following accepted syntax.

Design: The design for the presentations is boring and unengaging. The slides/pages are just heartlessly assembled without a coherent or compelling thread. Not sure which AI model you’re using, but this feels like ChatGPT-3. There’s no proper research done on the topic, and the AI just rambles along. The layout for the text isn’t nice either. There’s no spacing, just one sentence after the other. Visually very unappealing.

Branding: I’d like the platform to make use of more than one logo for the brand, selecting the best for each occasion and layout.

Account Details: I’d like to see the remaining limits of my account somewhere in the dashboard. At the moment, I have no idea how many pages I’ve created and have to manually count my campaigns. A simple counter such as X/Y campaigns and X/Y pages (reset on DD/MM) would be helpful.

I’m not sure whether I’m downgrading to tier 1 at the moment. This platform feels very much subpar beta, and I’ve already had too many services that have folded and didn’t improve over time.

I want to like this. Not ready for prime time?

There is a LOT of setup, which is a good thing, you do want to make sure it knows your brand well, but after doing a ton of setup then if I try to create something I get an error. So, I have no idea if this works. I would give it less tacos but I can see the potential but I can't create anything so I do not know. If I try te creat something is says: Application error. a client-side exception has occurred while loading app.dreamwriter.ai (see the browser console for more information).

It does that with "Blank Canvas" or "Content Makeover"

Anyway, I will keep it for now but it might not be ready.

Hey Scooter - thank you so much for your feedback and want to address your feedback:

We were receiving an error due to an issue with the Firefox browser. We've since fixed it and released a new version. So you should be able to upload files and create content now. If you have any questions whatsoever, or would like a personal tour of the product from me (the founder), then don't hesitate to reach...

Updated - review

Updated - the founders reached out to me and took the time to give me the background on the product and why the wording was confusing. They owned my complaint and that was impressive. No the product is not as i originally thought and it’s only for one brand but the support has been excellent and I’m going to give this founders a shot as I really want this to work.

They list brands as a metric in their offering scaling up to unlimited. Although you cannot have more than one brand! They call a brand what we would call campaign! It’s misleading and I’m so disappointed! Was ready to stack 5 codes which I now know means 1 brand! Don’t be fooled!

Hey David,

I'm so sorry that you feel that way. And also, my apologies that you felt like you were misled. Can truly say, that was never our intention.

When we originally signed a contract and set the pricing with AppSumo, we had a feature called "brands." Recently, we recognized that the functionality truly more represented "campaigns." Hence why we made the change. We're working with the...
