Q: Wait are you first translating a language to English and then subtitling them?

I just tried with a Bengali video and it messed up a lot of places. When you translate them to English on the first place, it's creating a different meaning from what the video meant, as the literal meanings are not same for both languges.

Please confirm as I wanted just a tool that can simply subtitle properly, like some other tools which gets about 70-80% correct.

A: Hi adi_das,

Thank you for your interest in Dubverse!

Yes, you got that right. We use English as an intermediary language and then move to the target language.

This is done for the simple reason of AI's understanding of various languages. For example, if you were doing a French video to German subtitles, then the accuracy would be really low due to the language complexity involved.

And since we get users across the globe, across languages we always use English as a bridge to optimise for accuracy. Please edit from the Studio > Redraft mode in case of any gaps you see in the translations.

This was AI does the heavylifting and you still retain control over the quality of the output.

Our current users are extremely happy with the accuracy of the tool and the amount of time and cost it saves them. Check out or case studies for more - https://dubverse.ai/case-study/

Ya that doesn't serve the purpose though, was expecting for something that just does subtiling for the language it's speaking at, and then translating it to other languages if needed. Wavel does it, thought Dubverse could be an alternative. Most of the subtitles didn't make sense after I did it with your platform, after it got translated and reversed back.

Thanks for the feedback, adi_das.

Would you be so kind as to sending the specifics via email to friends@dubverse.ai or via the support chat on the webapp so we can take a look at the video and investigate why that would be the case?

The accuracy of the tool has been reported as good by current users, so would like to understand if there are perhaps domain-specific nuances that we can not capture.

If you could share the project link, and examples of the inaccurate translations, it would help us grow! Thanks again for highlighting this!
