Q: Looks great, but concerned on a couple fronts
Love the concept and I want to use this, but there's a lot of trust needed for something like this. I've reviewed the Privacy Policy and ToS and need to know some things before I can connect my LinkedIn account...
1. Data deletion: "as long as necessary" and "may delete". Can you commit to a specific timeline (30-90 days) with confirmation? Does this include the writing profile Dynal builds?
2. LinkedIn tokens: What happens to my OAuth tokens when I disconnect? Immediate revocation? Is so, please state it.
3. Ad account permissions: The product has no ads features — why request access to my ad accounts?
4. AI training: Does "improve the Services" mean you train models on my content?
5. Sub-processors: Who are the third parties receiving my data?
I'd like to use it, but these need to be addressed.

Feb 26, 2026A: Thanks for raising this. We completely understand the privacy concerns, especially before connecting LinkedIn. Here’s how Dynal handles it:
1. Data deletion: If you request deletion, we delete LinkedIn-synced data (including Dynal’s writing profile and related analytics) within 30 days.
2. LinkedIn OAuth tokens: When you disconnect LinkedIn in Dynal, we immediately delete the OAuth access/refresh tokens we store, so we can’t access LinkedIn on your behalf. You can also revoke Dynal anytime in LinkedIn’s “Authorized apps.”
3. Ad account permissions: Dynal doesn’t run ads and we don’t access ad-account data for current features. Some permission scopes are defined or bundled by LinkedIn and can look broader than the specific functionality in use. We are continuing to review and minimize scopes.
4. AI training: We don’t use your content to train public or general AI models, and we don’t sell customer data. Your data is used only to provide the Dynal features you use (for example, drafts and analytics).
5. Sub-processors: We use necessary infrastructure providers (for example, cloud hosting like AWS and database or storage services) to run Dynal securely.
I too, want to know how much of my information is shared and used by the developers. I am in a regulated field, and I want to know how to protect any information I may have on the app. Thanks!
Thanks for asking. Access to customer data is limited to authorized team members only when necessary to operate and support the service.
If you work with sensitive or regulated information, we recommend not entering it into Dynal. If you choose to input any content, please redact or anonymize sensitive identifiers first. You can disconnect LinkedIn and request deletion at any time.
