or (as in my case) Elgato's WaveLink? Without a VST my setup won't be able to tie in the software to my digital mixer.

Just installed it, and got the setup to be “pick 4 voices for free” of 9 available. What happens after version 2 (or the major update/bump in version) lands? Can I still keep using it without further updates?
