Dissapointed
I am extremely disappointed with my experience after purchasing an AppSumo code in April 2020. The deal promised unlimited instances of each widget, with a limit of 60 widgets and up to 10,000 views per widget in unlimited websites. However, I quickly realized that there are significant limitations that were not clearly communicated.
When I reached out to the support team regarding this issue, They explained that they had migrated to a new version of the dashboard, which meant that the old dashboard could no longer be supported. While they highlighted some positive aspects of the migration, such as seamless integration of purchased codes and access to new applications, they failed to address the core issue of the reduced functionality and limitations imposed on the widgets.
The support team informed me that the new plan only allows users to create up to 3 widgets per app at the same time. This is a far cry from the promised unlimited instances of each widget. They attempted to justify this change by stating that it was necessary in order to grant access to the new features. However, this feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, and I am extremely upset by it.
While the support team expressed understanding for my disappointment and offered assistance if I reached the widget limit for any particular app, it is clear that the AppSumo deal I purchased feels scammy. The lack of transparency and the significant reduction in functionality are unacceptable.
I would caution others against purchasing Elfsight based on my negative experience. It is important to thoroughly research and verify any promises made before making a purchase, as it appears that what was initially advertised does not align with the reality of the product.
