The static codes are the solid part: URL encoded directly, clean design options, print-ready export. They do what they promise just like the free Generators.

I bought Tier 3 for the analytics. Technically they work: every scan appeared in my dashboard with city, device, browser and OS.

Test this yourself before rolling codes out to clients – what the tracking collects, and whether that fits your market and your clients' requirements, is something the listing won't tell you. I tested with my own scans only and decided against deploying it.

Two concrete issues from my testing: the included cookie banner cannot be translated into German, which alone made it unusable for my clients' applicants. And support, while fast and friendly, told me tracking "happens on your own website, not on our side" – my own dashboard, filled with scan locations and devices collected by the platform, showed otherwise and you'l see this in any trial account.

I refunded all three codes – I might have kept the deal if a DPA were included. For static codes alone, the free plan of any generator will do.

I have tried many different QR code platforms/apps and none of them come anywhere near how good ElkQR is. The digital business card QR was just the solution I needed. No other system's digital business card works like this one. I like how the QR code doesn't change when you make edits to your business card. That by itself makes this far superior to any other. But its flexibility and ease of use puts it over the top. I cannot say enough about ElkQR except that, if you are looking for a QR code platform that works and is constantly being improved, get this one. It is worth every penny!

I came to ElkQR from Rebrandly, so my requirements were pretty modest: a custom domain, the ability to update short-URL destinations mid-campaign, and something simple enough to just use. ElkQR checks all three without any friction. Custom domain setup was straightforward, and swapping destinations on live links works exactly the way a marketer needs it to.
