RE: IAN....HE IS STILL AROUND
I had a back and fourth exchange with Ian a few days ago. He replied pretty instantly. My only educated guess is that, that software does require a certain amount of technical expertise and understanding, ideally some chops in DevOps and then some. It won't remotely surprise if Ian saw email support tickets from people who clearly underestimated the technical debt required to run this. He does stress that point across his Q&A here.
I suppose you can engage him on a consultancy basis to get this operational to your needs, at least give him some motivation to help you.
I hope he continues to develop this and may it be around for some time. It is a potentially a very valuable tool in the right hands.

Fast(est) Response of my eMails
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the software emaildelivery.com for IAN.
Before I bought the software last November 2024, I sent a support message to the regular address emailteam@emaildelivery.com, because before I purchase any software, I always want to know what I’m getting into. Is the support working.
I sent my email at 1:00 PM — and by 1:20 PM, I already had a response.
Unbelievable.
Just wow.
After that, I took a closer look at the tool. It runs smoothly, I’ve installed it, and it works.
There’s an incredible knowledge base with FAQs — something you rarely find in any software. Yes, it’s a very complex software, but everything in the FAQ works exactly as described. It’s a real guide.
And just imagining how much heart, how much attention to detail went into this — you can immediately tell what kind of high standard the developer has set for himself.
I saw that some people here have written that the support doesn’t work properly.
And AppSumo even added that it’s refundable.
Well, today I wrote to Ian again today at 6:41 AM — and got a reply 18 minutes later.
We had a short back-and-forth conversation. So yes: I get feedback. Instantly.
I honestly don’t understand why anyone would say there’s no support. Of course, I get that as a startup or a one-person business, it’s a huge achievement to build software like this. And yes, software development takes time — you can’t always expect an immediate response. Though in my case, I got one instantly.
Ian clearly continues working on the software, and it would be a shame if it didn’t survive — because it’s a fantastic tool, a truly great product.
So please: have patience, have respect.
All I can say is — I get support, and I say: give it a chance.
IAN — go for it and make the software even better than it already is.

Abandoned
The thing I was most excited for this deal was the MTA. Power (PMTA) & Green Arrow MTA are so expensive that finding an alternative, Velocity (VMTA) for a one time fee this low was extremely exciting so I bought tier 3. The thing is, I've reached out via email, Linkedin, and even found forums of other customers but Ian doesn't respond to anyone. His Linkedin glorifies all the work he's done on this, and his website still sells licenses for $999 but gives zero support. It's so disappointing because an unmaintained MTA is worthless. He says he can't do it full-time but people in forums are literally offering him money to fund it because it could be an alternative to Power or Green Arrow. He just doesn't answer even though he's still taking peoples money. It's worrying because it makes me think every few years he'll spend a few months working on it, add a few things, do a promo, collect cash, then disappear until he runs out of cash and do it again so he only has to work for a few months every couple years. It's unfortunate because he could have a real business here and he's obviously capable technically but he just doesn't show up.

100% Grifted by EMailDelivery.com
I waited a long time before leaving this review, as I understood the developer Ian, was having difficulties and was no longer able to work on this product in a full-time capacity, but would keep it going as a part-time project at least. That was over 6 months ago and there has been no response from him since then. I can only assume therefore that he has bailed and EmailDelivery.com is abandoned for Appsumo LTD customers. You will notice however that on the EmailDelivery.com website they are still taking payments from new customers. I purchased 3 x Tier 3 so feel completely scammed.

This project was abandoned soon after refund window expired and AppSumo offered only platitudes when this was brought up with them
It had promise but there were significant elements missing. The devs were responsive and they had an active roadmap so I stuck with it.
Big mistake.

Dead in the water
This had promise, but the project has been abandoned. Their development has stopped for some time and their “in progress “ list is empty with many features/functionality missing.
My Tier 3 all buy in, wasted.

Promising Start, But Disappointing Outcome and Loss of Trust
Update/Addition:
Warning! Stay away from this software. I reached out via email to inquire about the future of the platform and possibly request a refund. Over a week has passed, and I still haven’t received any response! I must emphasize once again that this is an absolute disgrace. Lifetime deals always come with a certain risk, but selling such a deal in June only to deprioritize the project shortly after, while leaving inquiries unanswered for weeks or completely ignoring emails, is unacceptable. Even on LinkedIn (the only other way to contact the owner aside from the support email), there has been no response.
Original review:
The statement "Launch your own ESP (like Mailchimp) and offer it as a paid service to your customers or clients" immediately caught my attention, and I didn’t hesitate to go for the Tier 3 pricing.
However, the first disappointment came when I realized that you can’t actually set up your own version of Mailchimp as advertised – for example, customers aren’t even able to add their own domains, which is a must-have feature. Not wanting to start with a workaround, I kept the project because it looked promising and thought I would check in from time to time to see how it developed.
In the beginning, there was plenty of feedback, but then it suddenly went quiet. Recently, there was finally an update on the direction of the platform, but it was made very clear that the platform is no longer a priority. It seems they overestimated their expectations.
To make such a statement just a few months after raising money through lifetime deals is quite disappointing, and my trust is now gone. I've decided to move on to a competitor. A shame about the money!

Appears to have shut down - No surpport or updates
I was watching this project for some time and missed it the first time. Was excited to see it back so it was a no brainer as I could ditch mailchimp with my customers and move them. So yes picked up the T3 license. Moved over some of my customers and started sending.
The first few blasts worked well. I then applied a update and sent another blast. All of the sudden my reputation score went from high in postmasters tools to bad in one blast. Look it over it was flagged as stealing customers information. Now I do not know if this was due to emaildelivery platform. All I can say is I reached out to try and figure out what was going on and so far over 40 days and still have not herd back from them. They also have not produced a update at all when they were releasing updates every week or two since. I am now rehabing my list and trying to get it back to its stellar reputation. Again I am not sure if it was emaildelivery platform but I can't really troubleshoot it as support is gone.
And yes the list is 100% opted in customers. It is a local restaurant and all the email blasts do is inform them of the new special. With some links to the doordash online ordering system. So nothing is trying to take the information.
Long and short of this. I feel the need to post this even know I doubt they will be back. I do believe they held out support until the refund period was over and ran after. It should be noted that I did reach out to them back about 4 months ago asking if they ever planned to come back to appsumo. I was told that they likely would never do it again. Why I was surprised they were on it again. But I have a sneaky suspicion they planed to use appsumo to grab a bunch of cash and exit after. That is where I am at.
I really do hope it is something else. I hope something is just out of the control of the devs and they come back and say I am sorry and actually support it. But, I think everyday that chance is going out the window. And I am not sure I trust this at all anymore.

EmailDelivery: An Outstanding Tool, But Recent Silence Raises Concerns
EmailDelivery is certainly one of the best purchases I’ve made on AppSumo. The software is fantastic. I use it to send emails to over 300,000 people, and everything works perfectly. There are still a few minor details that could be improved, but they are nothing compared to the tremendous work already done to make this software almost perfect. I’m also amazed by how fast the user interface is.
My only concern right now: I was used to receiving several updates per week, but the last update was on July 27, 2024. I emailed customer support about ten days ago. I was also accustomed to getting a reply within 24 to 48 hours, but I’ve had no response for several days, and it’s been almost two months without any updates, which is highly unusual. I’m very worried that this product is being abandoned, even though it is one of the best ever listed on this site. Something must have happened on their end.
That being said, there are always solutions. It’s just a matter of talking with the user community to find ways forward. If someone from the team is reading this, please don’t abandon this product and keep us informed if something serious is going on.

The manufacturer has abandoned this product
Previously they provided email support within 1-3 business days. But since the 60 day money back guarantee period has ended. I and several other buyers have not been able to contact the manufacturer. They have also stopped updating the product since 28-7. The internal features of the product are flawed and cannot be used for resale for any product. I purchased the T3 and am completely disappointed with their commitment to the product while selling it. If you guys can read my review please let me know if anyone has been able to contact the manufacturer.

Once a 5 taco now a 1 taco...
----
Sadly, the creator is dropping the ball. No updates. No reply to support tickets. The support tickets they to reply takes them WEEKS.
It's a great idea with decent execution but very poor follow-through.
It's down from 5 to 2 tacos because it kind of works.
---
I bought this EmailDelivery.com when they were first on appsumo and refunded almost immediately because I didn't understand how to set it up. I regretted it almost immediately.
When they came back to appsumo, I bought it, and this time, I paid someone $30 to set it up for me, now I save $300+/mo (maybe more) on email marketing.
I still have a regret... I wish I would've bought Tier 3.
So far, I am pretty happy with the support; they respond in a timely manner (~24-48hr).
Note: if you are someone spending hundred maybe thousands with ESP (ie Mailchimp etc).

{Confirmed} Re: No Longer Have Confidence in This Product - I AM OUT!
Update (Original review below):
______________________________
Once I submitted my review on Aug 1st (PSB), the team reached out to me right away asking me to delete the review and offered me to fix the issue in return. I promptly deleted the review because I wanted to collaborate with the team and make sure the product was working effectively. They assured they would investigate and resolve the problem by August 3rd.
On August 4th, the support team asked me to confirm the affected funnel(s), and I replied stating that all test funnels were affected because I never experienced the feature (follow-up sequences) working.
There were no further updates, and the support completely disappeared. On August 7th, I reached out to them once more for an update. In the email, I also stated that I would give up on the product if it wasn’t fixed promptly. I was assured once more that the problem was “basic/simple” and would be resolved by Friday (August 9th). As of today, the 10th of August, there’s no sign of the promised support or any updates.
Today, I stopped investing time in it and request a refund instead. There’s no point in wasting time on something that won’t work (with zero support). Despite their insistence that the issue was "simple/basic", they never resolved it.
Bottom line: If it works out-of-the-box, then good for you. If you need further support for any reason(s); then (based on my experience) I wish you good luck.
My original review below (Posted on 01 Aug 24):
______________________________________________
I liked this product to work for me (the users); therefore, I tried to work with the team to make sure the issues were fixed to make the product better.
One of the most essential features of the tool I require is the ability to send emails through follow-up sequences. So, I tried and tested this feature multiple times (for over two weeks), but unfortunately, emails on follow-up sequences are not sent; except the first email within any sequences - either that’s using broadcast or funnels feature.
I reported this issue to the team, but there was no answer for a few days. Now, as the team is small, support response can be delayed. I then sent another email as a reminder. I received a response asking for root access to the VPS, which I provided promptly.
Now that it’s been almost two weeks, there’s still no response, and the issue remains unresolved.
Hence, I now have decided not to waste my time further and request a refund. “Morning shows the day” - I no longer have confidence in this product. So, I am out!

not as user-friendly but great support.
I bought the deal a while ago and the Support was great from the beginning because the setup is quiet technical even though they have a documentation.
The interface looks a bit outdated but the functionality is there to do whatever you need in a newsletter tool if you know how to get it to work.
Even if you're not experienced on how to set it up the support was great, you just need to learn and give yourself time to understand how it works.
There's nothing like it on the market for what I know so I really recommend you to get it while you can.

Absolutely perfect
This is a doddle to set up if you read the manual and I have no doubt it will save me tons of cash in the future. I prefer to own my data and this includes everything from emails to analytics. I get peace of mind knowing I can tell my customers exactly where their data is.
It took me less than 30 minutes to set up the server and generate an SSL certificate. Took me less than 2 days to get Amazon approved.
I was using Sendy previously and honestly there isn't anything wrong with Sendy for my use case. My reason for the switch was that we have Beefree included with some HTML templates so I can use it right away without messing about with 3rd party stuff and of course, its lifetime so no more update payments to sendy.
Of course you do need your own server, however that is a good thing. Keeping stuff separate is always a great idea. I had sendy set up on my main server so if that went down, so did my list.
I purchased tier 3 because I do plan on reselling it as a freelance developer as part of my services.
Support is good for the team size, and I didn't need to wait more than a day for an answer (which I found by reading the docs anyway!)
This is a diamond buy. I love that its not a sass, you own your data, its safe. And even at full price of $999 I can see this selling well. I look forward to many updates in the future..
Oh which reminds me... how about 2 factor, it needs to happen! I cant see that anywhere :)

Could be great if there is better support
Ok, I read all the reviews before purchasing this a couple of months ago, and support is one of the main reasons for purchase. My impression is the following:
- you need solid tech skills to have all this up and running, and also, each server has its own rules and things that are not compatible with all the instructions on docs. At the beginning, I tried AWS, but it simply had issues and even emaildelivery team suggested to go off Amazon and go to standard VPS.
- I then used suggested Racknerd. Have in mind if you need both ESP and MTA, you would probably need 2 servers *theoretically it can go on one server but you need advanced server admin knowledge, it's impossible on Amazon
- Support is very slow, I would rather say not existing, it takes days and weeks to respond if any and even than you get partial answers on which you need to wait, I am pretty sure that there is a lot of AI tools on Appsumo that can help with that if emaildelivery team wants to train support.
- The product itself is buggy, we have problems with 2nd mails in sequences, sometimes they are sending sometimes not, I mean, I connected with Gsuite SMTP with just 500 email sent a day and its still 30% soft bounce.
- to get your own MTA up and running you need advanced server knowledge and PTR records and pretty much 2 or 3 months of every day for some time work until you get there so if you are purchasing for MTA, I really doubt that anyone has that much time for IP joining, warming, setting records and etc.
- to get approved to Amazon SES, despite different claims in reviews, is very hard, you pretty much have to withhold information from them, even change AWS accounts (at least email delivery team suggested me to do so) and if you say you are going to use it for sending emails for clients, its a mission impossible almost. I was surprised when I saw Gozen Growth being able to use AWS for sending almost out of the box for example.
- also, there are times when you need to reset your server to start sending emails again
- Good thing is you can connect your SMTP mail and send email, which is for those that were using hubspot sales email before, like a professional type account, that is why its 3 tacos instead of 1.
- sequenced emails lack options like to stop a sequence if someone replies
Overall good product but it needs a lot of time and skill to being able to pay it of. Marketing of the product is great, but in order to achieve that level, be ready to spend a lot of time. My mistake was, I started using it 60 days after purchase so refund was impossible, and now after spending so much time on setting it up for at least one client, I will probably continue to use it, but support is really the issue. I guess this is a great product for those spending 300$ plus monthly on email marketing, otherwise, I wouldn't suggest it. I really wanted this product to be great, but it really isn't, it just ok and than again having in mind it's a LTD, its really ok.
I still didn't come to API usage, I wanted to try Active Pieces with it, it would be powerhouse just to have an option to send email campaigns over SMTP relays and have Active pieces possibilities as steps before or after.
Hope support and automated sequences will get better so I have to change this review in future.

Jun 14, 2024A criticism we've received from time to time is that we discourage people from buying our product and make it sound overly intimidating. This review is exactly what we're trying to avoid by always emphasizing our software requires tech chops overall, and anything related to the MTA you would need a DevOps background for.
A lot of things in this list of complaints we have absolutely no control over:
1) The customer waited longer than the AppSumo refund period of 60 days to try it.
2) Their Amazon SES account was rejected.
Many of our customers are approved successfully as first time Amazon SES users or have been approved already on another platform and move their existing account over to our software. We have a guide in our docs right at the top of the first page explaining the Amazon SES sandbox vs production access, what the Amazon Trust and Safety team is looking for in your application, and how to increase their confidence that you will be a sender of wanted email.
3) They are trying to use Gsuite / Google Workspace accounts and running into the low daily rate limits imposed on them by Google Workspace, and Google Workspace soft bounces their mail when they hit that limit.
We have always recommended against anyone using our software with Gsuite / Zoho accounts like they do with cold email platforms, just this week during the Sumo Day promotion I've continued to answer this question in the Q&A by discouraging this.
Our platform is designed to be used with either major 3rd party email delivery providers like Sparkpost, Mailgun, Amazon SES, SendGrid, Postmarkapp, SMTP.com or on an Ubuntu Linux server using your own IP addresses with our included MTA.
4) "Sending email requires DNS PTR records and no one has the time to setup IPs and warm them up"
What can be said in response to the above? These things are fundamental and universal to email marketing and/or based on technical requirements that have been around for decades.
Customer's valid complaints:
1) Support was slow.
We're a two person team without any employees and sometimes support is instantaneous and sometimes we get backed up with complex and/or time consuming tickets, and we commonly get requests for things which could never realistically fall under our support responsibilities or that aren't about our product but about other semi-related topics.
In this customers case 2 months ago they asked for me to log into their Amazon account and then work with proprietary Amazon services I'm completely inexperienced with.
Examples of the recommended/supported dedicated VPS options is another one of the very first things at the top of our docs page, several FAQs, and in many Q&As here on AppSumo. I simply told them I don't know anything about this, here's a list of hosts commonly used by our customers from the MTA FAQ.
2) They would like a feature native to the software that can process reply emails during an autoresponder sequence.
We've always been up front we don't have this feature or similar features for processing email replies and have answered this question publicly many times, plus we have a canny for features requests and feature discussion.
We have no plans to implement this feature as it just falls outside of the way our product is intended to be used, but it can already be done via any 3rd party tools that can tag a customer that sends a reply to a Reply-To email address, by using our native feature that remove contacts from an email funnel once they've received that tag.
Like everyone else who makes software, we have an uncountable number of feature requests. No one else has ever given us a bad review because we're missing one particular feature we never claimed to have.
