Q: What is a valid CSV file format?
Are there any limitations on the number of columns in my CSV file for uploading for Email Verification?
#1. Max number of rows?
#2. Can I have other columns besides the "email" column.
#3. Any restrictions on characters I used (in Windows) to name the CSV file?
#4. Any restrictions on the names of header (column names) in the first row?
#5. For your Email Finder, can I just submit a domain name? (or, do I have to also submit a name)?

#1. Max Rows?
You can upload up to 5,000 rows per file in a single upload. If your list is bigger, split it into chunks.
#2. Can I have extra columns?
Yup! Extra columns are allowed (like name, company, etc.).
But make sure there’s at least one column with email addresses, and it’s clearly mapped with our email column
#3. File Naming Rules (Windows)?
Avoid special characters like: \/:*?"<>|
Stick with safe names like contacts.csv, leads_2025.csv, etc.
#4. Header Rules (Column Names)?
Keep it simple. The first row must contain headers.
The column with emails should be labeled clearly, e.g., email. or any thing But you just mapped it with our email column
#5. Can I just give a domain name?
For Email Finder, you’ll need to submit both a domain AND a name (like first + last name) to get accurate results.
Submitting just the domain? That won’t work — it’s not a domain scanner, it’s a person-level finder.
