Over a year later and SO glad I snagged it.

I like to review after I've had a long time to actually test the software and really get a feel for it. I have tested a zillion email software platforms and there is a lot of junk out there-- Encharge is NOT one of them. It's been a breath of fresh air. It walks the line between ease of use (for what most small businesses need) and power. I'm really pleased with the interface and the way I can visually see my email sequences. Honestly, my only regret is that I didn't grab TWO codes-- one for each of my businesses.

Love this kind of review, especially after you’ve had time to really push the product.

That balance you mentioned, simple but still powerful, is exactly what we’ve been trying to get right, so it’s great to hear it's doing well in real use :)

Horrific Customer Service

I don't know whether Encharge uses AI to answer emails or has bad staff, but the company has the worst customer service I've seen on AppSumo. Whoever it was pretty much told me to figure out for myself why Encharge's system will not let me verify my domain.
Well, the bright spot is that Monday is two days away, and AppSumo will release new products I can use this refund on.

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience—even if it stings a bit to read 😅

Just want to clarify: we’d never want someone to feel like they’re left to “figure things out on their own.” That’s not how we operate, and not how our support team rolls.

We genuinely try to help every user who reaches out, and domain verification is something we’ve guided hundreds of folks through—it’s usually a simple...

No Event triggers

AppSumo page says “Best for: SaaS” but doesn’t mention the deal excludes the Ingest API (event tracking) - the ONE feature custom automation requires a lot.

I bought this specifically for API-driven workflows and event-based automation. These limitations are buried in the Q&A section, NOT on the main sales page. Only after purchasing did I discover:
❌ No Ingest API (can’t track user behavior)
❌ No event-based segmentation
❌ REST API “unsupported” on LTD

This is Growth plan with artificial restrictions - features that exist but are intentionally locked behind $879/month Premium upgrades.
Other frustrated buyers have asked Encharge to “be transparent on AppSumo” about these limitations [see Q&A].

If you’re a developer/SaaS founder expecting full API access for automation, this deal is a bait-and-switch.
For basic email broadcasts? Fine. For actual SaaS automation? Save your codes.

Hey Destinhounkpef — really appreciate you taking the time to leave this review, even if it’s a tough one. I wanted to jump in personally and offer some clarity.

You’re right that the Ingest API (event tracking) and event-based segmentation are not included in the 2025 AppSumo LTD. These are part of our Premium plan, which starts at $879/month, and they’ve always been excluded from the lifetime...

Unhelpful customer service

Customer service seems to be powered by robots (and 'Help' on the actual platform doesn't work at all), which can't even tell the difference between a new and ongoing conversation, even though you've replied to an email chain.

When people's campaigns, timelines and whole business relies on this software to work and you spend days trying to get human help (I'm still waiting) - that's a very big drawback.

ThriveCart integration doesn't seem to be working. and I resorted to posting on here since I've now been waiting 3 days for a response and update on the issue. Can't face another robot telling me it needs more info to know what I'm talking about.

Hey Maya, thanks for taking the time to write this.

We’re currently looking into the ThriveCart integration and would like to get a bit more detail on your specific setup so we can properly assist.

Regarding the “bot” comment: while we do use automation to route and organize support requests, every issue is reviewed by a real person once it reaches our team. If something felt stuck or...

Excellent tool — clearly better than MailerLite.

I connected it using a receive webhook with a store that supports webhooks, and everything works flawlessly. The integration is based on JSON data, which gives full control and makes the whole automation fast, stable, and reliable.

A huge advantage is the tagging system. It handles both main product purchases and order bumps perfectly, assigning tags based on the incoming JSON data. This allows very precise automation depending on what exactly the customer bought.

I’m genuinely impressed with this tool. It’s built for real-world use cases, not just basic email marketing. Definitely worth buying outright instead of paying endless monthly subscriptions.

Thanks, appreciate you sharing this. The webhook + JSON approach is very much intentional, we wanted something that doesn’t break the moment you step outside a “standard” funnel. Tagging around order bumps and variants was one of those pain points for us too, so it’s good to hear it’s doing its job.

Glad it fits a real setup and not just a simple newsletter use case. If anything feels clunky or...
