In Charge with Encharge
This is definitely one of those rare gems that come across AppSumo where it's clearly a product that is robust and has a very clear vision for where they want to be in 1 year, 2 years, 5 years.
It's extremely easy to get set up and connected, however, the one thing that worries me that I did not see anywhere in the dashboard or in the onboarding are MX records. I understand that Encharge will monitor and handle accounts that spam to ensure the best deliverability for those who are not connecting a domain email, but I feel it should be more impressed upon the user - there is, after all, great documentation on how to do so here:

The Flow builder is very intuitive, very aesthetically pleasing, and an overall delight to use. My recommendation for the Flow builder is to add collapsible and expandable categories, such that Triggers, Actions and Filters can be manipulated in that sense, rather than having to scroll through the gamut (especially as you add more and more integrations down the line).
I would argue that the visual email builder is one of the best in the game - the added bonus of royalty-free stock images being at your fingertips is a massive boon as well. The builder is very intuitive to use; I have found other builders to be very low-priority for competitors and as a result it makes the platform, by and large, unpleasant to use - not the case here!
What I would like to see:
- I know Zapier is ubiquitous for automation, but I would like to see something like Pabbly/Integrately (though I'm sure they'll be working on it soon) or even a generic Webhook method to connect and designate as your single-track to adding People from various sources.
- More integrations as a whole, but I know that's a given.
- This is semi-repetitive and while it can be utilized in an automation workflow, it would be nice if you integrated with some list hygiene tools so that as new People are added, it's automatically hygiened, regardless of the source.
Overall, really impressive email marketing suite here. I know people will be displeased that this either isn't a cold outreach or transactional email platform as well, but it's truly best practice to stray away from those components and have very distinct platforms for each of those uses.
I still think the deal terms are a bit wonky for stacking and sub-accounts, I think even just a smidge of a boost so that you get 5,000/code and then some would be nice. I totally understand the response that subaccounts are meant for smaller lists to throw a few hundred contacts into a subaccount and send to them; I also understand that we can stack within subaccounts to increase the limits, but even for max stacking, a little "bonus" would be nice so we can "safely and comfortably" chase those little side hustles, or do someone a favor, without detracting from the 5,000/code stigma.
Overall, 5/5 tacos

May 9, 2024Thank you for the very detailed review.
And I have some good news for you:
- We have integrations with Pabbly, Integrately, and webhooks too!
- We have automated email address validation regardless of the source 🎉
Also, your suggestion about the steps in the Flow builder is spot on.
PS: We set MX records via CNAME records.
