Not a lot of good things to say about email tools that aren't tried and tested but....
Encharge is one that has seriously changed my mind on this matter. Encharge's UX is well thought out and the founders behind it know what they're doing and talking about. There have been many tools that claim to be an <insert market leader> "alternative" but have fallen far short of being one. This, on the other hand, looks like it will actually be a contender one day.
The UI is clean and extremely easy to use. Coming from ActiveCampaign as our daily driver, I don't feel at all lost. As I said, very well thought out. Automation, taggging, and segmentations are all there and really powerful even thoug the company is still young-ish. Other email tools seem to be focused solely on newletters, while Encharge is focused on the right place - email automations.
The only few downsides (for now) is they don't yet have native eCommerce integrations with Shopify or WooComm. You can still setup a proper system if you used integrators like Zapier or Integromat, but a native integration would be awesome. I would also LOVE to see them allow us to use our own SMTP so we can pair it with mail warming tools to improve our deliverability (I HATE that ActiveCampaign doesn't allow that). Last of all, integrating with Konnectzit and Swipe Pages would be a huge boon for me as well.
Hope the team will take my requests (or demands-lol jk) into consideration! Overall huge props for NOT coming as another newsletter tool, but instead as a powerful ESP we can actually use. 5/5

May 9, 2024Hey Joshua,
Thank you for the insightful review. We absolutely wanted to be a "marketing automation" platform from day 1 and not yet another newsletter tool.
