Q: terms of service says can't be used for commercial purposes.
I just read your terms of service on the website and noticed a clause stating that the software cannot be used for commercial purposes unless authorized in writing by DynamPix.
If that is the case, why should I purchase this software if I cannot use the upscaled images commercially? This seems unfair, as the primary reason someone would buy the software is for commercial use.
I am interested in the software but will not consider purchasing it unless the terms are updated to clearly state that AI-generated photos and regular photos we own, which we upload and upscale using your program, can be used commercially. Please update your terms accordingly for me to consider buying.
I am not sure if this is an oversight but please let me know if this is a mistake in the terms of service and if so correct please?

Jul 24, 2025A: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and questions about our terms of service—we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it helps us clarify and improve our communication.
We understand your concern: if commercial use of upscaled images is restricted, it undermines the value of the software for many users, especially those looking to use it for professional or business purposes. This wasn’t our intention, and we want to clarify the intent behind the clause, which is modeled on industry peers but may have been phrased too broadly.
The core purpose of the clause is to ensure that users only use the software for content they have legal rights to commercialize (e.g., avoiding misuse of copyrighted material owned by others). For images you own outright—including photos you’ve taken, created, or hold clear commercial rights to, as well as AI-generated content you legally control—we absolutely support commercial use. The “written authorization” requirement is primarily a safeguard to confirm ownership in cases where rights might be unclear, and we aim to make this process simple and straightforward for legitimate users.
Your feedback has highlighted that the current wording is too vague, and we’re already working to revise the terms to explicitly state that commercial use is permitted for content you legally own, with clear guidance on when authorization may be needed. This should eliminate confusion and better align with how users actually intend to use the software.
If you have specific commercial use cases in mind, please feel free to reach out—we’d be happy to walk you through the authorization process (which is often just a quick confirmation of ownership) to ensure you can use the upscaled images as needed.
Thank you again for helping us improve—we hope this clarifies things, and we look forward to supporting your work!
