Hello there, thank you for checking in. For scanning and validating the QR code, user have to be logged in for now. A mobile application feature is under “In Discussion” on our roadmap to enhance the ticket scanner functionality.

Ok -

So user would have to be logged in - but they can just use their camera to scan the qr code - and that will open up the event functionality - and the ticket can then be marked as used.

If there are different events, for different locations, can location one user, validate location 2 event? or is it locked down that only certain users can validate certain tickets?

We have the option to scan all events' QR codes at once, as well as check the attendees for each individual event. If you're looking to scan QR codes for specific events, you can use the individual Event QR scanner https://prnt.sc/Gb9OE_mi-OH5
