May 14, 2024A: Hello,
The compressed format created by Everest Backup (.ebwp format) is primarily intended to be used with the Everest Backup Plugin for extraction. If you happen to find other tools that can extract files from this format, that's perfectly fine. However, I'd like to let you know that we are planning to introduce an option to download backups in .zip format in the future. This will provide more flexibility for users who wish to extract specific files without performing a full restore.
Thank you for your question and for considering Everest Backup! If you have any more inquiries or need further assistance, please feel free to ask.

Hello! Any idea when the zip file format will be available? Cheers!
Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry! Currently, we are prioritizing resolving the scheduled backup issue that some users have reported. Once that is addressed, our focus will shift to resolving the cloud storage upload problem, followed by implementing additional features like incremental and differential backups. The availability of the zip file format is on our roadmap, but we don't have a specific timeframe for it at the moment. Rest assured, we are dedicated to introducing these features in the near future.
Best regards

Hello Shaina, I was wondering if you have any news on the .zip format? has it been implemented? Where is it on your roadmap?
The zip option offers greater flexibility as we can use backups to tinker on localhost setups, run file diffs to check for changes or hacked files in past backups etc, It is a super-valuable!
Many thanks,
Nick

Hi,
Are you still working on the zip option? Or another way to extract backups?
Thanks!
