Q: You said this in response to an important question: " If you need to remove the plugin from a client's ...
website, you can contact us with a valid reason. For example, if the site is no longer available or the domain has expired and won't be renewed, we can release the license associated with that domain."
"Valid reason... Wow. Call the police." Then you go on to say: "Once we release the license, you can't use it on that specific domain again in the future. However, you can use the reclaimed license on a different domain that has not previously been activated with that license."
My question is: Why would you do that? It seems that completely against the customer is always right service orientation, and instead says, "We don't trust you. We want to force you to buy more licenses." Maybe you want to rethink that oppressive policy, right?

May 14, 2024A: Hello,
I appreciate your feedback and concerns regarding our license policy. Our intention is not to be oppressive, but rather to ensure that the use of our licenses aligns with our licensing terms and agreements. Let me provide some context:
When a license is associated with a specific domain, it's important for us to maintain compliance with our licensing terms. Releasing a license from a domain that is no longer in use or has expired is a way to prevent potential misuse or unauthorized use of our licenses. We aim to strike a balance between providing flexibility to our users and protecting the integrity of our licensing system.
We understand that the customer is important, and we value your feedback. We continually evaluate our policies and consider user input to make improvements where necessary. Your feedback helps us in that process.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, and we will certainly take your input into consideration as we review our policies.
Best regards,
Emma

Clients come and go and they may pay late which would require us to cancel their license and re-attach after they've paid. With your current system you're setting us up for potential failure.
Thank you for raising this concern; it's essential to address the challenges associated with managing licenses for clients who may come and go or have delayed payments.
When it comes to Everest Backup Plugin or other services, managing late payments and the activation/deactivation of licenses can indeed be a complex task. To streamline this process, it's beneficial to establish a comprehensive client management system. This system could involve temporarily locking client access to their websites or suspending specific website functionalities when payments are overdue. This approach eliminates the need for frequent activation or deactivation of individual plugin license keys.
