Works Like it Should
I purchased this software after BackupSheep decided to close down and I received a refund from AppSumo. Everest Backup arrived on the site soon afterward, and it was less expensive, while promising to be easier to use, so I gave it a try.
I installed Everest Backup, ran a manual backup, and downloaded it. It was simple and straightforward. Then I installed the Pro add-on and pCloud add-on and ran another manual backup to pCloud. It was just as easy. I went to my pCloud account and confirmed that the backup was there.
I went through the process slowly on purpose, and all-told it took me two hours to install it, watch the tutorials, read the docs, and get a firm grasp of the software. But now I could do it again in a few minutes.
In comparison, BackupSheep took several nights of troubleshooting, along with tech support requests, and it was a few weeks before I had it up and running. This was followed by them changing things around and requiring more troubleshooting and configurations, as if I were a programmer. There was a lot of anxiety involved.
Everest is easier. They made it for business owners. Of course, it's not as advanced just yet, but I'd say it's better for 99% of users, and they're improving it.
I recommend watching their YouTube tutorial play-list to walk you through the basics.

As others have commented, nobody likes multiple plug-ins, on principle alone; but you don't need to install all of them, just the services you need. Google Drive is included in the basic and free Everest Backup, while the other cloud services require Everest Backup Pro, and then each single service is is its own add-on, which is another plug-in. So in my case, I added three news plug-ins.
I would think they could at least combine Everest Backup and Everest Backup Pro into one plug-in by adding a license key field into Everest Backup, which would then unlock the additional Pro features and menu options. Other plug-ins do it this way, and it's an elegant solution. But whatever, it's not a big deal. Just annoying from an OCD standpoint. It's the same problem with WooCommerce and its insistence on having a different plug-in for every feature. Here's hoping they streamline it.
Bottom line is that Everest Backup works like it should. So if you're looking for an affordable and easy-to-use backup, migration, and cloning system, get Everest Backup.
