Also, does the CDN serve JS and CSS also?
Currently, I use Shortpixel and none of the features are offered by them. so if EWWW offers these features, I would be happy to switch.

Yes, you most certainly can change to a custom CNAME, that is included in all tiers.
In addition to delivering JS/CSS, Easy IO will also automatically minify any assets if needed.

yeap! just point a cname of your domain from cnd.yourdomain.com to xxxx.exactcdn.com and a txt with the same settings. after that configure the plugin with ludicrous mode enabled your cdn with your domain in the settings

That isn't quite the correct implementation, and no TXT records should be required. The CNAME configuration modal on https://ewww.io/manage-sites/ will give you the exact instructions to setup a custom domain.
