Hi, is there a way to make tags persistent with the item/task?

Hi, is there a way to make tags persistent with the item/task? ie include it in the metadata as the task is moved from workshop to a board (s). my use case: I hold a workshop - item is tagged. Item is turned into a task and moved to a board and processed.
