Q: I really like the potential of your product, I am a risk management specialist and I see this could be used ...
to progress through a consultancy based risk discovery process. It really needs to have the ability for us to create our own templates, so if that could be added to the roadmap that would be great.
I noted the upsell of $25 per extra 100 participants in public workshops (is this a one off Lifetime deal price?
I also wanted to enquire as to the ability to customize the exports into a report style. This would be a really useful feature to quickly take the content after a workshop and return it to the clients for further discussion - engagement.
Is the intent to enable us to present inside the platform in the future (facilitator on screen to do the intro and then launch into the activities)? if you don't intend this then could you create an api or link with some of the other excellent deals that have previously been on appsumo that excel at this.
Just trying to think how I would operationalise Excelway from start to finish on a client engagement activity?
Same with bookings to attend the event - if Excelway isn't going to do this then could other platforms be linked to it.
Looks great and looking forward to your feedback :)

May 14, 2024A: Hi Glen,
Thanks for the support :)
Please see my answers below:
1. t really needs to have the ability for us to create our own templates, so if that could be added to the roadmap that would be great.
—> Indeed, we’re prioritizing this feature for Q3 2022. As soon as we launch the mobile app, this will be our priority.
2. I noted the upsell of $25 per extra 100 participants in public workshops (is this a one off Lifetime deal price?
—> This is a monthly price. The add-on can be activated and de-activated anytime, and the billing is prorated.
3. I also wanted to enquire as to the ability to customize the exports into a report style. This would be a really useful feature to quickly take the content after a workshop and return it to the clients for further discussion - engagement.
—> Have you checked the Workshop report feature? It has been made to do exactly that: generate a word document collecting all the input from the workshop. Since it’s a docx / google doc, you can customize easily to change the design / add elements. To generate this report, please click on the arrow next to your workshop’s name, when inside the workshop. In the menu select « Workshop report » and select the format. You can see how to do so in this video extract : https://youtu.be/cDeTrCljliU
4. Is the intent to enable us to present inside the platform in the future (facilitator on screen to do the intro and then launch into the activities)? if you don't intend this then could you create an api or link with some of the other excellent deals that have previously been on appsumo that excel at this.
—> Are you referrin to embeddin a video feature inside ExcelWay? If so, we’re currently working on our authentication process to be able to link to other tools, including Zoom. If not, could you please be more specific?
5. Just trying to think how I would operationalise Excelway from start to finish on a client engagement activity?
—> We have a program specific for Consultants and professionals working with clients. We regularly organize virtual events specific to the consulting companies’ needs and present the relevant use cases and features. We announce these events through our newsletter and social media channels. The next event should be in 3 weeks. That being said, the ExcelWay team will be glad to focus on this topic for your private onboarding session. If you haven’t booked it already, please reach out to support@excelway.co or myself sophia@excelway.co directly.
6. Same with bookings to attend the event - if Excelway isn't going to do this then could other platforms be linked to it.
Thanks for the suggestion. To my knolwedge, it has never come up as a feature request. As there are already many tools either specific or including this feature, I doubt we would offer it in ExcelWay. Most probably, this would be included to the Zoom integration if there is such a possibility.
As for now, with a private workshop, ExcelWay does send to participants a calendar invite
with their unique link to access the workshop.
Thanks for your feedback and please let us know if we can be of any further help :)

I have finally had some time to try out the platform and there is a lot to like. The only big problem I have is the disjoin between the different tabs, boards, workshops, tasks.
I created a workshop to test out a product creation idea, marked all the post its as tasks and then asked it to transfer it over to a project as project tasks. It just took all the tasks and dropped them as a list of tasks into the top project grouping (so basically we lost all the context groupings from the workshop?) this kind of defeats the purpose/workflow (workshop/brainstorming is the ideation stage - free flowing with rules to keep people on track), next stage is to take the content from the workshop and transfer it to the doing (project stage). The way it is set up at the moment you cannot do this automatically. We should be able to transfer both context and associated tasks to the project e.g. I have 3 column in workshop with 1 = do in 3 months, 2 = do in 6 months and 3 = do in 12 months, if I place post-its below each of these contextual groupings, when I go to transfer it to a project it should ask do you want to transfer all groupings and associated tasks to the project as a template with this format. This then in the project screen would keep all the tasks in the context groupings. It would also be a great way to initially start of blank project canvas when you are trying to work out how you want to set up your project layout. Additionally the tasks when transferred over from the workshop to the project lose all details (dates, tags, and supplemental information). Additionally the workflow needs to be looked at when moving between sections as there is a lot of clicking backwards and forwards through the top menu to find things. Just a few of my thoughts and have thought about pulling the pin on the 3 stack, but the workflow is concerning me as it is a lot of double-handling with loss of detail at the moment.

Great idea Glen!
To have a tool to support risk management and compliance would be a smashing hit.
