We used Exclelway last year for our scrum retrospectives but stopped because of the price. So I am glad we could take this deal and discover Appsumo. Also, we can tell that they have been improving their product a lot - overall design and features completely changed, for the best. Customer support has always been top-notch. Sophia and her team go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied with the product. They leave no stone unturned when explaining how to make the best of it. I definitely recommend this service to any team working with agile and scrum.

I almost broke my arm this week and so I'm typing through the pain to recommend ExcelWay to everyone. Tier 3 is extremely generous and the support is top-notch. Sophia sent me an email for a one-on-one meeting shortly after I registered back in July. I wasn't able to take her up on the meeting because I was sick at the time (yes my physical health is having a bad streak lately lol) and she immediately responded with warm wishes. I have a feeling if I lived in France she would have sent me a box of goodies and a get well card too. Just amazing support.

Each project is completely separate from each other, so it's perfect for agencies/freelancers who have different clients. The PDF report will also be very helpful for one of my clients who works in local government. And obviously, the way it flows from brainstorming to project management is fantastic.

I've never come across a platform that does what excelway does. This app is a real game changer in the brainstorming / collaborative meeting space, and I believe it has the power to overthrow the most commonly used apps such as mentimeter or miro.
First, the features. It's like excelway read my mind or went through the struggles I'm going through daily when running virtual brainstorming sessions. When you have so much content on sticky notes, at some point, you need to make sense of it all and find ways to classify them. In other tools, this would entail dragging and dropping each one from one section you created to another, ordering them according to votes, and creating a sticky note color legend (often too late in the process!) that you struggle to stick to. With excelway I can do all of this and more with the click of a button. Not only does it give me more confidence when facilitating for clients, but it also makes me save a lot of time and energy for what matters: leading a group to a productive discussion.
Then, the UX and UI. I love how refreshing and clean the interface is. In particular, the experience for participants and first-time users is so smooth that it makes them forget they are using a new tool. Yet, under this minimalistic and straightforward design, many sophisticated features are hidden, making the onboarding process exciting. I'm discovering a new feature every day, even if I now use it daily :).

I wasn't sure about this but I am SO glad that I purchased it. This is a no brainer, if you do any sort of facilitation or workshops. While it isn't a perfect product, it is extremely handy and easy to use. I highly recommend.

Ok, now I am writing my review for the 3rd time because the first time there was an error, and the second time my popup just disappeared before I could send. Argh.

But - this product and the work behind it earns some praise, and thus I take the time for another review^^ (I certainly wouldn't have done it if I weren't excited enough).

What problems does it solve?
Keeping participants of virtual meetings engaged in a meaningful (!) way. I'd say it is not a tool for every meeting (however, no tool is for every meeting), but especially for brainstorming, (project) management, and decision-making it is awesome. I am using it mostly for my online classes when having a brainstorming session, group work, and summarizing at the end of a lesson. It has the potential to make the class much more individualized to the needs of each participant.

What do I like most?
I love that participants can vote on their ideas after submitting them. And even better is that you can work with the brainstorming + voting results further in the workshop (just watch their brainstorming video on YouTube). That is quite unique!

Recommendations?
If you have a similar use case (education, public workshops) you should be most concerned about a sufficient amount of public participants in your plan. If you mostly would use it internally, members might be a good route to go, too.
If you have any questions, ask the support team. They are very helpful and friendly!
