The workflow is transcribe a video and then using the story builder piece together a radio edit from different sections of the transcription. I can then export this as an .edl file which I can bring into my video editing software to automatically create a first cut which I tidy up and add corrections etc.
I’ve been looking for an alternative solution for my freelance work and saw that on your website you are positioning yourself as a trint alternative. Will you be implementing the same sort of functionality in regards to the story builder and exporting for video editing software?
This would be an extremely useful solution for content creation for video editors and content teams and greatly speeds up content creation where multiple stakeholders may be involved.
I understand that you have a video editor on platform but that will not have the same level of control and file type support as a dedicated editing software does and offering this functionality would be great.
Is this something you plan on doing and if so do you have an estimated timeline?

Thanks for your detailed comments - this is very helpful. Yes, we will have a story building workflow but don't have and edl file export yet. However we will be sure to accommodate this. While we desire to build democratized workflows where we don't need to pull out traditional video editing software for 90% of tasks and any person on the team can do it - we understand there's 5 - 10% that is best done in your tool of choice be premier etc and support the export options required. We do already support creating clips, stories - and if it's the export of .edl file - this looks straight forward and we should be able to accommodate it fairly quickly.
