Q: Hello, I really like this idea and enjoy everything that you do!
I connect with many Realestate Agentd. I would like to know is it possible to embed javascript html on these landing pages for document contract purposes?
Q: I bought Plan 2, logged in with my email address and password, but whenever I open the program again, I have ...
to log in again, but it doesn't recognize my password. I.e. every time I have to create a new password via forgotten password. And every time again it is not recognized. Likewise, if I want to work on my tablet instead of on the Mac, I can't log in. Today I didn't even get an email to reset my password. I would really like to use the program, but unfortunately it doesn't work. What's happening?
Yes, Exposure is a Select product, but it appears you missed out on the general audience access which ended on May 7th.
We have a period of extended access for 72 hours after most Select campaigns to give our Plus Members a bit more time to purchase, seems you came across the deal while in extended access.
So you have some options. You could sign up for Plus to be able to purchase during extended access, get access to Plus only promotions like Last Call, Plus Exclusive campaigns, discounts on your purchases, etc.
If you don't want to sign up for Plus, just need to make sure you can catch the deal while it is still on general access.
Thanks, Jarrett, that's a real shame as looks like a very good product that would have really helped a good friend of mine. 'IF' it comes back to SELECT I would really grateful if someone could let me know. Thanks
That's kind of you, Michael, thanks. It appears I have missed the boat. What a shame. I actually wanted it to help a good friend. 'IF' it can be extended further with Appsumo on SELECT then I would very much like to purchase and would be grateful if you could kindly let me know. Thank you.
Q: Exposure looks very impressive!
Congrats on a stand-out AppSumo product!
1. Does the 3rd AppSumo tier include all the features of the Business tier from your web site? And will it include all features added to that tier over time?
2. I'm interested in integrating Exposure with a SaaS I'm working on. If I understand correctly, with the 3rd tier I'll have full control over fonts, CSS, JavaScript, and the navigation menu, so that I could make Exposure look and feel like a part of my app. Am I getting all the right?
3. The most unfortunate aspect of the deal is that it is limited to one site per account, which doesn't scale well for me. If I'm successful in using Exposure to sweeten the deal for my first SaaS customer, is there any possibility of you giving a closer-to-AppSumo-price deal for subsequent sites? I could build something pretty nice with Rails + TailwindUI + Uppy etc. but you've already built something better than anything I was planning and since photo hosting is not a central part of my app I'd rather find a scalable way to integrate with Exposure. (But your regular prices are going to be difficult for the non-profit organizations my SaaS is aimed at.)
4. Are you planning to include an API that allows us to write to Exposure?
5. Do you have a roadmap beyond what's listed as "Coming Soon" in your feature grid?
6. This seems _fairly_ obvious but just to be 100% sure, I assume that the "200 GB total hosted video bandwidth" is per month? (Some deals list limits that are for the lifetime of the deal rather than per month.)
1. Except for where noted in the deal description, yes. 2. You get a lot of control, so I hesitate to say "full"; but, if you know what you're doing w.r.t. CSS, HTML, and JS, we allow for a lot of freedom. 3. We do have unlisted enterprise/custom contracts, so reach out to us direcly if that's something you're interested in. 4. It's something we're looking into how to best accomplish. 5. Yes, but it's not public. 6. It's per year. Some sites can get hammered on video, which costs us well in excess of even our sticker-prices.
Sorry for delayed response... had a personal matter to attend to. Hopefully you're still able to purchase!
We have no plans to offer "stacking", but we are looking at ways to incentivize folks to publish more work on Exposure between personal and business (and maybe even client) personas. In the meantime, this appsumo deal is already pretty sweet if you ask me!
Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean by "stacking". Each feature set will be limited to tier independent of how many licenses you have. I don't expect that to change. However: if you have a tier 3 license, we do make it easier to log in to multiple sites at once.
Q: 1.
In the business plan on your website, users have the freedom to change email. But appsumo cant do it. Please clarify this.
2. Does sumolings have a different support line than your regular users? I heard support for sumolings is very limited, is that true?
A: 1. Appsumo limitation. Nothing we can do. 2. In normal circumstances, support response times are functionally identical. If there's more load than our support team can handle, appsumo tickets are lower priority. Also, because most issues in this queue often have to do with appsumo/exposure license syncing, sometimes there's a delay associated with that as we work with their team to sort out. Agents in this queue also need to know a bit more, and not all have been trained on appsumo.
Q: Hi Michael,
As we all know people rarely look sites on their desktop.
Most of the people 70-80% look web pages on mobile.
Do you think in the next 2 months to make Exposure look great on mobile too?
I mean Square Pictures on mobile. (With option to move manually the focus on the picture where you need it — as in www.brizy.cloud, you can create free cloud account and see how simple and smart they did it.)
It will be good if you create Mobile Edit Mode in your builder too. (Absolutely no need to complicate for mobile as many builders do. Just Portrait Mobile Mode is practical and more than enough as we see in www.convertri.com. )
I hope you are going to be inspired to do that? As nowadays this is not just nice to be mobile-ready, we are simply obligated to be.
Looking forward to Exposure Mobile Greatness! Thank you very much!
A: Appreciate the thoughts! Unlikely photo controls like these will end up in the product within the next few months, but they're under active planning. We want to be purposeful in terms of how we do this to best serve our members and their storytelling, and not just copy what everyone else is doing.
It is great to hear that, Michael! Looking your superior desktop builder, I believe you will do mobile building in superior way! Looking forward to it!
Q: I've just realized that these limits are per YEAR and not per month.
A quick calculation: 200GB/year is ~16.6GB per month. Let's say I have a few stories, 5-10 MB each. Does it mean that the smallest plan is capped to about 2000 story views per month, the second plan is only 5000 views per month?
A: This was answered extensively elsewhere in the Q&A, but short version is we do a lot of magic to get files down in size. Unless wildly successful (of if abusing our servers), we don't expect any sumo-lings to hit these limits, so we're protecting our costs as hosting high quality images isn't cheap!
Do you use an image CDN provider? It can significantly lower your hosting expenses versus direct hosting while it allows faster load times for the clients.
Yes, we currently prioritize one CDN that's done particularly well for us, but we're set up to take advantage of others. This usually gets us into enterprise-contract conversations; but, as architected, we're CDN-agnostic.
Q: In previous questions you've talked kindly about the bandwith limits, but I still don't know exactly what the ...
price is for when you break the limit? Is their a unique appsumo price for a new chunk of bandwith? or do we then have to go buy a membership on top of our ltd deal?
Answered this a few times in full elsewhere in this Q&A, but you'll have to pay for bandwidth if you exceed the limit. Very unlikely you will. If you do, it'll be competitive with at-cost market rates (google "AWS data egress pricing" to get a sense... remember we highly compress images using the latest tech, so we're as thrifty as we can be while still delivering high-resolution images to your users).
So in effect (if I understand you correctly) we can consider Exposure as paying for itself in reduced bandwidth costs because of your compression (which we don't have to think about or do any work to implement). Is that a fair statement?
Q: 1.
If I understand correctly, "Unlimited embedded videos" does not mean (a) that you can host unlimited videos on Exposure and embed them elsewhere, but instead means (b) that you can host videos elsewhere and embed as many as you want on Exposure. Is that right?
2. And so video hosting is only included at the higher tiers?
3. Can videos hosted at Exposure be embedded elsewhere?
A: 1. Unlimited videos means just that. You will be charged for bandwidth on those videos Exposure stores BUT NOT ON embedded videos such as vimeo or youtube if they're providing the content delivery.
2. Yes, because of the bandwidth requirements.
3. Yes. Many choose youtube and vimeo to host their videos as it's where the content already is. Many of members, later in their Exposure journey, prefer to use ours because we do some cool things like auto-play and don't overly compress things.
It's not too difficult to localize your user interface into new languages. I don't know what language & framework you're using, but any modern software stack should make this not a big challenge. If you give me a contact e-mail or phone number I'm happy to talk with you further about how to do this. You have an impressive product and it would be a shame to limit the customer base to people comfortable with using English.
Q: Team Exposure,
I see one admin user for all tiers.
Great! But, I do not see how many regular users. Standard users? Team members? Contributors? Only one person runs the entire account and does all the work?
I bought a Tier, but haven't dived into it as these are for two university groups, but didn't think to check before purchase. I blame TikTok and public education.
A: For now, login:site is a 1:1 relationship. Can confirm for tier 3, when we introduce multi-user capabilities, they will apply.
Emotional purchasing and buy-now-pay-later are cornerstones of modern capitalism. Why think when you can just spend money to reduce even the twinge of FOMO?
(Thanks for picking up a license! We have a lot of schools/universities that use us.)
5 TB bandwidth PER YEAR (and not per month)... wow... what happens if we go over that or wanna go over that by double per year (if not per month)...
How much would 3TB per year cost US assuming that the first half is free or included? And are there no teams, or will that ever be included in future updates for free maybe in Tier 3, the third tier? Thanks.
However if you're building on React (I haven't bought Exposure _yet_ so I haven't had a chance to check) then that might possibly be the easiest situation in which to add undo—especially if you're using Redux. (I believe the same is true for Mob-X Statetree. https://mobx-state-tree.js.org.)
