Pretty cool!
It's fun to upload an image and toggle the heatmap on and off to see where people's attention goes. I like the website heatmap plugin for Chrome that takes a screenshot, sends it to Expoze, and then allows you to see the attention of where people's eyes will go.
When I first logged-in after buying a Tier-1 code I didn't know how to use the software, and I got frustrated after uploading an image and not seeing any results. Turns out you have to select to add a heatmap, use a credit for it, and then wait a minute and refresh the browser page. THEN you'll see the heatmap. FYI to anybody else using it for the first time. That annoyance and confusion on initial use was enough to make me not use it for a couple of months until my return deadline approached, where I had to make a decision, so I jumped back in and forced myself to learn how to use it.
The only question I have now is what to do with this data. I know it IS useful, but I'm not sure how to apply it. I'll need to look more into neuroscience and design principles.
Either way, check it out with a code if you're curious. I'm going to keep it.

May 9, 2024Dear derekpadula,
Thanks for your kind words and for taking the time to fully explore our platform.
When we launched on AppSumo we still had some major issues with our UI, which explains what you ran into (refreshing page to show heatmap etc). Most of these annoying bugs should be resolved, but if you do encounter them do not hesitate to drop us a line and we'll get them solved as soon as possible. In addition, we're working on a guided tour as part of our upcoming release (v1.2.3) which should help make onboarding a lot easier.
Now let's get to your question; this is actually something quite a few of our users run into, and it's often caused by not properly defining what you are testing in the first place. We have written a knowledge base article on this which can be found here:
https://support.expoze.io/article/125-things-to-consider-when-running-heatmaps
In addition, we have some tips and tricks in separate articles:
https://support.expoze.io/article/127-best-practices
https://support.expoze.io/article/128-neuromarketing-principles-to-consider
Finally, if you ever want us to take a quick look and give some recommendations, feel free to hop on our livechat and we will take a quick peek at the stuff you are working on together.
Thanks again for the kind words, we're so glad you're happy with our platform. We can't wait to share future updates with you!
