Q: Hey!
Congrats on the launch! ❤️
Vikesh here from TexAu ( AS Alumni )
I would love to use it as a webinar tool but 100 participants even on stacking codes seem very less to me. It would be great to have per code 100 more participants, that will make this deal more appealing.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Vikesh

Agreed. 100 is tooooo small.
I don't think 100 participants is small at all - not for what eyeson's purpose is. It's not meant to be solely webinar focused. It's akin to a Zoom, Teams, or Vectera type of online video conferencing with an impressive limit of participants at 9 on a video call and 100 on voice.
Something like a Live Webinar, HeySummit or other past deals that are tailored to webinars sounds more up your alley.
Being able to live stream and get reactions is just a plus to this platform, which doesn't have a limit whatsoever so it still serves that purpose, but I feel as though you're blurring the lines between their video conferencing functionality and their ability to live stream and conduct, more or less, a webinar.
Totally kick butt feature and functionality! Way to go above and beyond with your product! :)
Additionally, if you actually go to their pricing page on their website, you will see that FOR TEAMS and ENTERPRISE Pricing Plans have 100 participants as well.
As someone who is an "AS Alumni" surely you should be able to shed the light on technical infrastructure limitations.
If trying to bottle-neck more than 100 participant connections at once to a single conference line is the optimal maximum number of connections, then so be it. I don't want to have more than that if it means sub-par performance and considering that MICROSOFT Teams allows up to 250, I will take 100 from a startup.
It's not as though if you go to their pricing page you see their Enterprise solution offers 5,000 participants and we're only receiving 100.
I would kindly ask you, and other Sumo-lings to read the room first before making outlandish claims that 100 participants is too few.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know our product :) We think we're bringing a pretty awesome deal to the table as well :) have a great day!!
Hello Vikesh,
many thanks for the nice feedback!
The 100 participants is currently a technical limitation - very sad about this! :-(
We had already a few people complaining about this and definitely will review the options.
Hope to get back to you soon!
Honestly, let them complain.
I understand it's a technical limitation and don't fault you whatsoever. As you scale and grow and it makes sense financially to dump more money into the technical infrastructure, *then* go ahead, but at this time, and for the sake of this deal - do not rush it. Keep the product working well within its current constraints.
The deal is awesome and very generous when compared to previous deals and others in this space.
I would have zero regrets if I were you. While you always want to provide the absolute best and to give more, it's important to remember where your product stands at the moment. When it's ready to grow two legs and run on its own, you'll know when it's ready to make those improvements, but I rather have long-term sustainability and rock solid performance over crazy limits any day of the week. Plus the live streaming really helps bolster that effort and lets you displace that burden via other means - I would love to see a Restream integration to tackle more of that market and I think that will also appease those looking for higher limits so they can conduct their webinars without endangering your ecosystem.
Cheers! :)
