Disappointing
I have been using Eyes since the last 45 days. I manage a small team (about 15 people) and we "tried" to introduce Eyeson in our workflow for running daily standup calls. It would be fair to say that the experiment was unsuccessful. I would like to share my thoughts on Eyeson as a list of Pros and Cons.
Pros:
* Decent UI - no major complaints on this front
* Saves your money - compared to other SaaS providers where you will pay a monthly subscription
Cons:
* Despite of all the claims of being a very "bandwidth-efficient" service, you need a very good and stable internet connection. We have had people getting disconnected on calls regularly.
* Screen sharing is very iffy. Works sometimes, fails other times. It is just not reliable enough to consider it as a full time meeting tool.
* Support is very poor. I have tried to contact them regarding screen sharing issues. They did eventually revert to my support request, which ended with a "We will pass on the feedback to our team". No words on when or if we can even expect a fix. I believe some other users here have also had a below average experience with the support.
* No roadmap, no change logs, no product updates. Their Android App was last updated in September 2019. iOS App got updated few weeks ago. No information if any product updates have happened to their web client. Now, we hear them saying they will work on adding Calendar Integration, but I am not sure what timelines we are looking at. I don't feel confident about the product because of any lack of transparency or vision from the Eyeson team.
* Some strange product decisions that they refuse to change or even acknowledge as an issue. You need a mic and a camera to join a meeting. You need to turn on your video option to start screen sharing. The mute icon/button does not reflect the current state (not sure if this is a bug).
It excited me to use this as part of our daily workflow, but unfortunately because of complaints from the team, we moved to WebEx (and are now testing Google Meet).
TL;DR: a barely functional system with some strange quirks and no visibility into the product's future makes this a not-recommended purchase.

May 9, 2024Hi and thank you for your feedback.
Just to be sure on the connection drops you reported, real time communication needs different network parameters. The network environment can influence quality of real-time video connections depending on the nature of the network or how busy it is. You can find free independent test tools for real time communication to verify your network if it is good to use with eyeson: https://help.eyeson.com/eyeson-room/en/articles/932612-environment-requirements-for-the-use-of-eyeson
If that's not enough, here are some more tips for your next meeting:
➔ Network: If applicable, deactivate VPN in order to communicate via the private network instead of via the company network
➔ We recommend Google Chrome on the PC and also on the MAC - with the exception of iPhone / iPad, please use Safari there (iOS).
➔ Make sure that camera, microphone, speaker are not from e.g. Skype, Zoom, MS Teams or other browser tabs are blocked
➔ Bluetooth devices: Make sure that they are connected to the PC used for the eyeson meeting and not to the phone next to it
➔ Video “jerky” and audio disturbed? Try to turn the camera off
➔ Network: If the connection is poor, the browser may "refresh" and reconnect with Audio Only: https://help.eyeson.com/eyeson-room/en/articles/1937524-use-the-eco-mode-phone-mode- audio-only
➔ Network check: Independent WebRTC test https://test.webrtc.org/
Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
