Q: I am so frustrated right now with my purchase of EzyCourse.

I spent all night creating, editing, uploading my videos and then posting them to the lessons I created in EzyCourse my course. This is a course I created as a Lead Gen so was giving the students a 100% off coupon so that they can enroll themselves.

I created three chapters and several lessons again taking up most of the night and now early morning for me. When I went to test the coupon, that part seemed to work well. I had to click the Purchase Request button and did that. After that I had to go looking for where that was on the back end to approve that student which was my test email to make sure this works how I was under the impression that it would. Everything was good until I manually enrolled the student, my test email account, into the course I created. NOW I am stuck in this endless loop where your software keeps asking me to enter a credit card and telling me that I will be charged either at the end of the month or as soon as I pass a $50 threshold or something to that effect. Can someone please tell me what's going on?

I wanted to test this system before going "all in" with my old and new paid courses. I always have used a free "lite" or "intro" version to my courses to get the students to upgrade but now I can't get past the credit card POP UP that KEEPS popping up! I don't get that and honestly don't feel honestly having to give up my credit card in this form.

Please help, advise or tell me to go kick rocks but if you tell me to do that then I'd like a refund. This has made me sick to my stomach because I wanted to release this today to my lists but now I'm back to square one.

If I'm going to be issued a refund then I'd like all my content removed from your site as well. I can't seem to do it right now because no matter what I do I can't get past the credit card pop up!!

I understand the frustration and you could have asked in the chat for a quick reply. So here is the thing, you made it private so a request system activated, then you got email and notification regarding this request. You then found it and approved or manually enrolled the students. All right... So why are we asking or taking your payment method is your biggest frustration...

So we designed the system so that until you make any sales be it manually or automatically we don't ask for any payment method from you. Since we don't take commission instantly instead we wait for the whole month or $50 mark, we need a valid payment method on file so that if you have a minimum due of $5 we can charge..
So this only triggers when you made any kind sales. Lots of people made test sales and they added the payment method. You need to trust us in this case.

If you see some false charge or some false due balance, you can report we will delete right away.. If you want us to remove the test sales, we can do that as well as we understand it's a test. But system cannot understand wheather it was a test or real so it triggered.

I'm confused more now than ever. So let me see if you can understand me and I can understand you.

1. I create both free and paid courses. I use the free courses as lead generators to get people to sign up, try my "intro" or "lite" versions out and then upsell them on my paid courses.

2. WHAT do I need to do in order to be able to do that with your system?

3. I don't appreciate being chastised because I posted my request here instead of your "Private chat". WHERE am I suppose to see, find or know about the Private Chat for Support?

4. You're asking me to just trust and enter my credit card but what I don't get is why do I HAVE to give you my credit card or payment system BEFORE knowing if this is going to work for me. I get that your system didn't know I was running a test BUT regardless if the test is for a FREE course then WHY am I being charged the percentage fee for something that was free?

It seems to me like you guys are more interested in making money off of us course creators FIRST rather than help us build first. The way this comes across to me is that you don't want course creators offering free courses at all because you don't get to make money on the back end. Am I correct?

I don't mean to offend or disrespect but being forced to have to give up a percentage of a free course or being force to have to enter my credit card doesn't sit well with me and I'd rather request a refund so that we don't have to deal with each other anymore. Again I am FORMALLY requesting that my content be deleted from your system if you're going to refund me and cancel my account.

Now I really liked the system and rather enjoyed building my course out with it until this snag with the forced credit card pop up.

Please advise.

If you were referring to the chat within EzyCourse I can't get to that chat within EzyCourse because your PopUp is greying everything else out. I can't do anything with the "Add Your Billing Method" popup reloading every time. I can't log out. I can reset. I can't delete, modify, etc. etc. with that popup reloading.

First of all I am really not chastising you at all :).. Saying that we have chat in our site. It's more real time and much easier to explain and importantly cool you down :)

1. If you enrolled in a free course, it will never ask for a payment because there were no sale. Also there is no charge for it. If you enrolled for free and then saw the card pop up, please let us know.. we will check your site and fix it...
If you have enrolled to one of your paid course (even if it's a test) then card pop up will come and you have to enter since you started selling now..

2. You don't need to do anything.. there are lots of people running and onboarding many free students manually, with check out or using csv bulk import.. So it's totally fine as long as you are providing for free. But as soon as a payment is involved, it will ask for payment method

3. Sorry, I didn't mean it. I meant we could discuss more in real time. AppSumo comment is slow and I have to stay here refreshing so a pain in the ass for me :(

4. Again, if it was a free enrolment and you saw the pop up, let us know and we will check your website and enrolment

5. If you earn $1000, we will earn $50 from you. We are also not sure if you will make $1000 every month or not. We are hosting, running and giving everything upfront trusting you guys that you will make awesome contents and you will sell. We are completely trusting creators that they will make sell and grow and we will grow.. We won't be rich rather the creators.. We have cost to maintain your business, load, bandwidth, devs, support, monitoring and all that. We spent sleepless night to ensure the business is running. When we see any issue we response to that as quickly as possible. We offered life time founding members offer and included all AppSumo members in it. Check out our facebook group and see how people are reacting. We will be out of AppSumo after 1st month, you stay little bit more in our group and platform, you always have a refund button if you see us doing something bad or not good..

"a percentage of a free course" makes no sense.. 5% of $0 is 0 so no money..

Of course we are not cancelling, refunding etc.. It's your account, you own it.. Please!

Ok let me start by offering a HUGE APOLOGY to Sadek as I take my foot out of my mouth. NEVER have I EVER had such PHENOMENAL Support. This guy was, no bull, AMAZING and honestly heart centered meaning he actually cares about his customers. He could have easily told me "Here's your refund now go kick rocks!" but instead offered to resolve any challenge/s I had AND spent some time answering my questions. It made me feel a WHOLE lot better about the purchase and TRUST factor.

To anyone reading this do yourself a favor and jump in! I got in at the Tier 1 Level but am strongly considering the next Tier.

Would it be then possible in that case to create a little window for testing? There would be, perhaps, a code to enter so that the credit card request doesn't pop up...
Possible? Or any other way that give us the certainty all is OK... Possible?
