Q: Hi Team Filmora, I have read through the questions but kinda didn't help - which may be because I am not ...

familiar with some terms (read: total laymen in video editing).

Question 1:
"Built-in effects permitted for commercial use (excludes built-in music & sound effects)" <<< What sense does it make to have anything "built-in" that you are not allowed to use for commercial in a business license?

Question 2:
I understood that the effects that one would download from the effects store within the monthly subscription stop working to use AGAIN once you cancel the subscription - Is that correct?
Does that also mean you are no longer allowed to use the videos for commercial that you have created with the effects from the canceled subscription?

Question 3:
What are those "pre-sets" and what have they to do with the licence or subscription? How can they or can't they be used under licence / subsription / no subscription?

For consideration: I guess most businesses on here are small businesses, where many tasks are in the hands of people who are not experts. This means, only having month in the subscription is a heck of a short time considering there is some learning curve and then planning the videos, nevermind finding the best fitting effects etc.... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
What about giving us 6 months in the subscription???

A: Hi Sumo-ling,

Question 1: there are over 800 preset effects built in Filmora video editor, including music, sound, text, overlay, filter, element, transition, etc. Only the music and sound are not allowed for business activity due to the license policy of the music suppliers.

Question 2: Yes, once the subscription is canceled, you can no more use or download the effects in the effect store. But you can still use the built-in effects inside of the software. Moreover, it doesn't mean your videos are no more allowed for commercial use.

Question 3: the pre-set means the bulit-in effects inside of the editing software. It is nothing to do with the effects sold in the effects store.

Please understand that the discount price in fact is only for the software license. However, we hope every sumo-ling could have the chance to try out more effects sold in the effects store, so we add one month free subscription as the added value to this offer. This is not you have to pay for, but the extra benefit you will get from this offer.

Also, in case you would do another deal someday with appsumo: Most buyers on Appsumo truly do not need 5 computers to have this installed on... maybe a 1 or 2 computer licences with lifetime subscription to the store is something to consider.

Appreciate your advise. We will take it into consideration in the future. But our original intention for this deal is that we hope the sumo-lings could share this product within their internal team for better project cooperation.

Question 4:
A user is able to buy "Sets" like the business effects in the store. I understand you BUY them for (as of today 14,99 USD), so there is no underlying subscription that needs to be hold. Is that correct?

(P.s. the videos with the contents of the packs are not playing - none of those I tested)

Currently we don't sell single effect. The business effect set we provided in the deal is the added value item for sumo-lings.

Thank you for the clarifications.

That's what I understood about the deal being practically on the software, which is for all I understand a great one.

Yet, 5 software licences means 4 sitting around collecting dust (in my case anyway) - hence why I said maybe less licences and more/LTD subscription time could be (another) deal idea for another time.

Have a fantastic weekend :)
