I had to choose between Filmstro and Uppbeat here on AppSumo. I chose Filmstro because it is truly unique in that it allows you to change elements of every song in its database, from strength, to power, to momentum (and volume). If I don't like the intense strings section on one song, I can completely eliminate it, or add it, as I please. I also haven't seen any word of people who use Filmstro having issues uploading their music onto YouTube, whereas Uppbeat seems to just be having issue after issue. Will report back if I find any issues with copyright.

There are plenty of categories and tagging so you can find the tracks you want. The categorization system could be improved but after playing around in the app for a while now, I think I know my way around to finding what I need. Genres in my niches are a bit limited, but I had a nice chat with Sebastian and he said they do plan to add a lot of music in the near future.

The current songs seem to be more catered to a longer filmmaking audience, but I plan to use these in YouTube videos, podcasts, and audiobook production, as well as some mini-documentaries. I'm buying for what it offers now and in hopes that the music database will greatly expand. So far, I love what it can do. With a little editing, I can make the music fit many of my needs.

Video export took seconds for me and I'm using a VPN to access everything, so for the others who had issues in exporting, I don't know what was going on. Usually I have problems with SaaS and streaming or downloading things due to using a VPN but with Filmstro I have had zero issues, even with a shoddy connection.

I usually test and discard pretty quickly when I am dissatisfied with something I purchase on AppSumo, but Filmstro is one of the rare keepers. I'm very impressed with its functionality and hope that word will get out about what it does and can do so they can reinvest those funds into a giant library of music from around the world!
