I use AI music generators quite regularly, so I was genuinely pleased when I found Finetuning on AppSumo. Honestly, it feels like a bit of a steal.

I bought Tier 1 for only $49, which gives me 500 songs per month, and even that alone is fantastic value. I’ll very likely be upgrading soon as I need more songs each month. For what you get, it’s such a bargain.

I work in commercials and video editing, and music libraries or licensing can easily cost thousands each month. Finetuning has helped me save a lot of money while giving me fresh, original tracks whenever I need them.

What I like most is the quality of the songs. They sound polished, creative, and actually usable in real projects. Whether I need something cinematic, upbeat, emotional, or modern, it usually gives me something solid very quickly.

It’s also a huge time saver. Instead of spending ages searching through stock music libraries, I can generate something tailored to the mood I want in minutes.

If you make videos, run ads, create content, or just need regular access to music, this deal is genuinely worth a look.

I find the overall audio output to sound very electronic and somewhat thin, resembling AM radio rather than the fuller FM sound I expected. I was unable to get realistic guitar tones.

The chord progressions in the songs are generally solid, but the melodies sometimes feel immature or out of place, which affects the overall flow.

The vocals stand out as a strong point and are as good if not better than any other AI music services I’ve used.
I love the ability to choose key and BPM, something I haven’t noticed elsewhere.
Song generation is very fast, and the number of credits are generous, which is great for quick experimentation.

The support for LoRA support for genre-specific models could significantly improve instrument realism and melody sophistication, which could eliminate these issues that are important to me. The addition of more generation presets and smarter AI tagging also sounds promising to help produce better-fitting melodies and sounds.

If the roadmap features are delivered effectively, this service could easily be a valuable alternative to the others.

When is the expected timeline for LoRA support implementation?

BTW, access to and customer support for a product is holistically part of the product. It is silly to split hairs over it. Just fix it, apologize for the inconvenience, and encourage the customer to leave a positive review after spending some time using the product.

We (LTD customers) want you to succeed, my purchase implies that I think you have a good business model and you won't be out of business in a year. Otherwise, I am wasting my money. Time spent leaving a review is not time spent for my entertainment, it is for you to gain valuable and free candid feedback, and for me, it is hopefully a way to keep you in business and reap the benefits of being an early investor. The LTD thing has value for the both of us (entrepreneurs and customers). I wish you success.

Purchased Tier 2, attempted activation, went to login and got an error that email or password was incorrect. Tried to reset password several times without success. Reached out to the support email and no response. I see that others have had the same experience.... Hope this isn't a sign of what's to come because I think the business model has a lot of potential. I guess time will tell.

Overall, a cool concept. I got myself tier 1, what I have noticed:

1. Songs can only be created up to three minutes long and not longer.
2. Song variation can sometimes be monotonous. For example, in cinematic or Lo-fi genres, there is very little variation, and the same sounds often repeat throughout the song.
3. I appreciate being able to select the keys for the song, but the options for Major, Minor, and flat keys are limited because I cannot select or combine more than one key.
4. Vibe selection is limited to just Happy or Moody and lacks additional options.
5. There is no way to reference a sound or song when creating new music. It would be helpful to upload a sound or song and prompt the AI to create a song with a similar sound. This could help the AI be more accurate, less repetitive, and create more unique songs.
6. Make sure to use random seed or your song with the same prompt will duplicate a song from the same seed.

I recommend:
- Adding more key variations by combining two or more keys instead of just one, along with more vibe options
- Adding a feature to upload a song as a reference
- Adding an option for bulk download, allowing multi-selection of tracks to download them all at once instead of one by one
- Adding an option to bulk select songs and move them to a playlist instead of one by one
- Adding an auto mix or auto DJ feature, similar to the app Mixxx, where songs from a playlist are automatically mashed together with smooth transitions. This would allow users to listen to the mixed tracks and download the full mix, making it easier to combine multiple songs into one mix for simple downloading

Finally, to the founders, please do not take this review as negative. I just wanted to give my honest feedback so you can improve the tool further. You have a great tool with awesome potential. Keep building and keep going, it has great potential!

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m updating my review. Regarding the duplicate songs, I think I likely didn’t click on random seed, so that was my mistake since I wasn’t aware that using the same seed would create the same song twice.

For point 5, I find it limited because I can only select one key. For example, I can’t select 2 or 3 keys to combine them, which could make a song even more unique. More Vibe options even if 2-3 more for now could help add more uniqueness to songs heres some example; Energetic (great for EDM), Calm (for meditation), Dreamy, Retro, Mysterious, Ambient, Suspenseful
