What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?
So, let me take you on a little trip down memory lane—specifically, my two-year journey from idea to published book. If there was an award for “Most Mistakes Made by a First-Time Author,” I’d have taken home the trophy!
I kicked off this adventure with a grand vision, thinking I’d whip up my masterpiece in a few months. Spoiler alert: I was wrong. I faced everything from writer’s block to formatting headaches, and at one point, my manuscript might as well have been a puzzle with missing pieces.
Luckily, the book turned out great, but I sure would have loved to spend less time getting there.
Now, I team up with Lucas, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Together, we’re on a mission to make this process a breeze for other aspiring authors. Why take two years to figure it all out when you can get it right from the start?
With First Book ai, we’re dedicated to making writing enjoyable and efficient—because let’s be honest, nobody should have to sacrifice their social life for a book!
Best,

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
After writing my first book, I realized how challenging the process can be for first-time authors. It took me over two years to complete, and I had to navigate through writer’s block, formatting issues, and other hurdles. I teamed up with Lucas, our AI and prompt engineering expert, to create a tool that simplifies the process of writing and publishing a book. We’re passionate about helping others enjoy the benefits of authorship without sacrificing years of their lives in the process. First Book AI was born from our personal experience and desire to make book writing an enjoyable, efficient journey for everyone.
What problem is your product solving and how?
First Book ai solves the problem of overwhelming complexity in the book writing process, particularly for first-time authors. Many aspiring writers struggle to organize their ideas and turn them into a finished manuscript. Our platform uses AI to break down the process into manageable steps, from idea generation to a complete professional manuscript. What sets us apart is our focus on quality AI-generated content that truly reflects each author’s vision, as well as our step-by-step, user-friendly approach. We’re not just a generic book generator - we're a purpose-driven tool designed to help authors create business books that align with their personal or professional goals, whether it’s for thought leadership, personal branding, or lead generation.
What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?
The number one thing we’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign is feedback and real-world published author use cases. We want to hear from a wide range of first-time authors about their experiences with our platform. This will help us improve the tool and expand its capabilities and features.
What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?
If we achieve our goals through the AppSumo campaign, we’ll use the customer feedback to refine and enhance the platform further. Our next steps include expanding our AI capabilities to offer even more tailored suggestions and improving the user experience to make the process even smoother. The cash will help fuel our development efforts and grow our marketing reach. We plan to scale First Book ai by adding new features, such as more diverse book genres and additional publishing tools.
Any details to clarify about the deal?
Customers don't get unlimited revisions as mentioned on the AppSumo listing right now. We only support English language for now.
